What good books are you reading / have read recently?

I just recently finished:

The Adventurist - RYP

98.6 Degrees - Cody Lundin

Adventure Travel in the Third World - Two authors, can't remember their names :D

Currently reading:

Licensed to Kill - RYP

Waiting in the wings:

Cold River - William Judson (read it as a kid and loved it)

When all hell breaks loose - Cody Lundin

The Worlds Most Dangerous Places - RYP

and a bunch of survival guides.

How to Survive on Land and Sea , Aviation Training Division, USN 1943 edition
Next: The Gun, C.J Chivers

how was 98.6?

It was ok. A little slow to start with a lot of redundant medical stuff if you have ever had any medical training. He really delves into regulatiing body temperature and explains in detail all the factors relating to it.

I liked his take on his survival kit, gave me a few ideas for my kits.

All in all it was a good read, Cody uses a lot of humor and no BS attitude.

My list of books I have finished in the last few months:

The Starfish and the Spider (Excellent damn book!)
Hostage Nation
The Reluctant Spy
The Survivor's Club
Kill Bin Laden
Cocaine Nation
Ruse
Safe House
Out of Captivity
Buried Alive

All non-fiction books

- The Creature From Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve (G. Edward Griffin)

- Testament (David Morrell)

Finished recently
Brian Keene The Rising (part 1) & City of the Dead (part 2)
Brain Keene Dead Sea
Fix'n to Start in no particular order
1.The Countess erzsebet bathory by Rebecca Johns
2.One Second After by William R. Forstchen

- The Creature From Jekyll Island: A Second Look at the Federal Reserve (G. Edward Griffin)
That's a John Birch Society book, no?

To my knowledge, this book isn't associated with the "John Birch" Society. The author may be a member of the society, but again, I'm not sure.

The author does a very good job of explaining the origins/history of how the "Federal Reserve" came to be and their power, control, and manipulation of the "free market" and each of our lives.

Very interesting read if nothing else.

The Dark Tower series - Stephen King - good read, on 5th novel of 7

Blood Meridian - Cormac McCarthy - effin amazing, very dark western

looking for a good biography on Teddy Roosevelt next

I'm reading Bladeforums.com/ESEE Knives and I'm reading Slash40.com/off topic.

In other words. I read forums, and not books :p

Making my way through three books currently...

Thinking in Pictures by Temple Grandin

Deep Survival by Laurence Gonzales and Killing Pablo by Mark Bowden...

I need to get me a couple books by that Pelton guy. :D

The last two I read were 98.6 and Adventure Travel in the Third World (:D). Reading The World's Most Dangerous Places now. I'm up to the chapter on diseases.
