What are you reading?

A good book I read a few weeks ago is Billy Waughs Hunting The Jackyl . I originally came across the name Billy Waugh in one of RYPs books and the book was mentioned. To sum it up in one sentence; Billy was (is?) a covert ops guy starting in the 1960's all the way up to this war in Afganistan, and this book is his story.

Great book to pick up in your next Amazon haul for like $6-$7 I think..

This is one book on my to read list.

For those who haven't read Adventure Travel in the Third World, it's a great read. So wish I had read it before a recent trip to Mexico. One of the few books I've read recently that I know I will be reading again.

Jeff and Mike, did I hear you have another book in the works?

Always got another book in the works. About 30K words into it but haven't done anything on it in 3 months or so. Working on two different books at one time and likely neither will get published at the rate I'm going :D

It's a mad rush right now trying to get the new ESEE catalog finished in time for SHOT. Also working on a GSA contract novation that's a long, drawn-out process.

Im reading 2
Five years to freedom By James Rowe
Beyond Exile By J.L Bourne

Deep Winter/Shatter/Remnant by Thomas Sherry (again)
After Yellow Stone by Jeff Thomas

Creative Black and White: Digital Photography Tips and Techniques by Harold Davis
(non fiction)

I've been comparative reading the Bible NASB & ESV
SAS survival hand book by john lofty Wiseman
liberty and tyranny by Mark Levin

90 % of my way through Stephen King's "Under the Dome", his newest one I think. A good read all in all. Depicts the societal breakout and other hijincks experienced by a small town (Maine) when a impenetrable force field separates them from the outside world. Its got action, interesting characters and despite the far-fetched scenario it gets you thinking about SHTF/survival situations.

Here are a few other books I've recently read:

- Alice Cooper, Golf Monster (Excellent book that has much more than just a few golf tips. Alice tells great stories in this book. I've been a Cooper fan since the early 70's).

- The 5000 Year Leap (W. Clean Skousen). This is an excellent book about the principles and ideals of the Founding Fathers and how they integrated these principles into the Constitution with much of the book consisting of the Founders own writings so there is no confusion as to what they meant.

- Blood Trail (C.J. Box). This is a fictional story about a Wyoming Game Warden named Joe Pickett. Very good story line.

I just got "When All Hell raks Loose" but have'nt had a chance to get in to it other than reading part of the chapter on water purification.

I'm ganna get some hate for this and flack no doubt, but my kid cousin left P Jackson: Lightning Thief. So...I kinda read it lol. I like it actually!

My list of books I have finished in the last few months:

The Starfish and the Spider (Excellent damn book!)

All non-fiction books

This one sounds interesting. I just added it to my reading list. It is a long list, so I had better get to reading.

Just finished "Pirate Latitudes" by Michael Crichton. It was a completed manuscript found in his desk after his death.
Very good read.

Just finished unintended consequences, by John Ross. Now I'm reading molon labe by Boston T. Party, but I recently read the survivors club, 98.6, and then deep survival is next on my list.

Canoeing with the Cree by Eric Sevareid

About a couple of young men who canoe from Minneapolis to Hudson Bay in 1930. Great real-life adventure.
