What are you waiting on, And what did you get last?

Right now I'm waiting to get two of my RMDs back from the custom shop. I'm having a Bowie clip ground into my SE, and having it coated. I sent my first gen RMD in to have the G10 sclaes swapped for canvas. Unfortunately when they replace handle scales they have to re-coat the blade. Bye-bye to the discontinued Urban Gray coating. Can't wait to get 'em back!

I just received this Custom VEX..







The knife came unadorned like all Busse products, ready to go right outta the box. My Grandaughter 'dressed' it up for the ball.
(she might as well, when I'm gone they're all her's....:) outta 2 boys and 3 girls, she is the knife nut, not bad for 16 and quite inspired by the Busse ladies..in fact I think this VEX is in her purse right now...HEY!.

A friend of mine had a folder in a really nice open top belt sheath so I asked and discovered this wonderful gal from Gulfport Miss. named Conalee Thomas. Her dad is a master leatherworker and she is carrying on the tradition rather nicely. I do not believe she is on the exchange here so I'm not sure how much commercial info I'm allowed to post about a non BF dealer, but her work is very good. She is a single mother of 3 kids and a full time volounteer teacher at a school for the blind. (I know, you can't make up a better story..:) but it's true..) Her work has a certain Rustic look that just seems to compliment the Swamp Rat Custom G10's. At least in my opinion. As mentioned I had a little help putting this rig together.

The lanyard and beads are PURE grandaughter. I think it is her way of telling granpa "It's from the Busse girls, Papa. So This Is Mine!"... Hell, she's got everything else including the keys to my Chevy work truck. She doesn't want her mother's Volvo. She's much happier driving around the mountains in a '96 dualley with a welder's payload flatbed than "Some Doctor's Car, that's not me Papa." And now my new VEX is by her side. I think I got to hold it for about maybe 45 minutes...:D When she found out I bought the VEX she picked out the sheath from Conalee's menu and I sorta knew how this was gonna end...
(you know there is something actually comforting about that..)
She doesn't know about the R6 and I ain't tellin her either!!!

Thats awesome bud, the sheath looks great and the beads and dressing looks awesome as well.

Sounds like your granddaughter has a great head on her shoulders too :)

Being related to her grandmother and she is her mother's daughter she's a very pretty young gal and there have been a few young fellas spookin, around when she visits us. Based on the way the world is around here I think that VEX is right where it needs to be, with her. Yes indeed. The other grandaughter (my oldest son's) is 6 and has not discovered the Busse / Scrap Yard / Swamp Rat section of Granpa's armory. She see's that Battle Mistress and I'm 'screwed'. I gotta hide that key again...:D

Picked up these recently. Waiting on a Skinny ASH. Waiting on a Joe Watson Kwaiken, a Ti knife and a few other items....

I still have a box here from WW that I have to post pics of. It has an HRLM, a limited edition Afghan that I had Up Armored (looks awesome !), a SAR3 variant and some neck knives and beads....

And I have the new CG Tali in Tan !! ;)

The Mud Mutt is an awesome knife. I love the mudder grips and the blade is a winner. Nice slicer. Would make a good "all-round knife". Like a Mud Puppy on steroids !! ;)
 
Yea they didnt last very long on the website before selling out!!
