"Say what...?"
In life you have to do a lot of things you don't @$#%ing want to do. Many times, that's what the @$#% life is... one vile @$#%ing task after another.

Deadwood's attention to dialogue very much spoiled us for other cinema in the genre, in my opinion.

There is a great example, set apart due to its lack of profanity, in the letter that Seth Bullock wrote to his wife before she arrived in Deadwood. It's simple but it's that kind of attention to detail that I find appealing.

It isn't perfect, though, and there were some slips. For example, Al calls someone a douchebag in one scene. That particular epithet didn't really exist at the time, to anyone's knowledge.

Renewed Netflix yesterday after doing without long enough that I had to re-register.

Started watching "American Primeval" and "Beef". I'm more into the former than the latter, but both were worth the watch thus far.

Hey check out "American Primeval" on Netflix. Best western mini series I have seen so far. The savagery is unreal. Has 6 episodes and have seen two so far. About a woman traveling west with her son and all the butchery they encounter with Indians, Mormons, and outlaws. Western fans will love this one!
