The first few seasons were an amazing experience. I think about the logistics and crew, what it took to pull all of that off in perfect continuity... it's objectively impressive.

How many different parts of the world they were filming in at the same time, the character arcs, writing, special effects. Each episode was like an entire movie production. The coordination in general was CIA-tier as far as I'm concerned.

Yes it got cucked toward the later seasons but a few got in before the big lavendar cutoff... and there were a few seasons that were a proper human accomplishment.

I like to the think about how a large part of the globe was totally synced and completely invested in every new episode and to the plot at large. It was energetic, the show was huge. Interesting to think about collective consciousness all drifting down the same imaginary world, but not an average one... one with resonance. It's rare.

In sounding a touch lavendar myself, I actually learned a very real lesson from that show - anyone at anytime in their life could be on a completely different character arc in just a few short years. A completely different mental landscape, a completely different purpose, a completely different frequency in general. Who knows what the future holds... reality is strange these days ;)
 
I watched a couple of WWII movies last night.

Pressure, with Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott. It is about the meteorologists that made the weather forecast that D-Day's success hung on. It's a pretty good watch, not your typical WWII fare.

The next one was far more grim - The Photographer of Mauthausen. It's a Spanish movie, detailing the efforts of Francisco Boix, a Spanish press photographer who was interned at the Mauthausen concentration camp. He was responsible for preserving photographic evidence that led to the many indictments of Nazi leaders during the Nuremberg trials. Any movie that presents concentration camp life is grim, but this film was a good watch, and I'd recommend seeing it at least once.
 
Finally got around to seeing F1 starring Brad Pitt. Entertaining enough (also enjoyed Ford vs Ferrari, and Rush).

One thing that struck me; when I saw the aero engineer, I thought, “She looks familiar. What movie have I seen her in?” Had to look it up. Kerry Condon. I remembered her from the 2005 Jet Li movie Unleashed. Wow. She was 22 back then. I can’t recall too many women who’ve become more attractive in their 40s than when they were in their 20s.

I agree. It’s a bummer it’s not better. He should have left the show where it ended the first time. Have you tried House of Guinness? I have not yet.
 
Watching "From". The first season was good, second was good..... I've seen the third and fourth seasons.... Not sure what I think yet
