I've been drooling over some knives that will cost a Kidney and half my liver for some time now so I thought I would ask to see what dream knives you guys have (and I'm fully aware that it will not help me feel any better).

(Disclaimer: this thread will not be responsible for any heart wrenching yearning or any illegal actions done by said yearning :p)

Here's mine:

Right now, I want a 3.5" Hinderer XM-18 more than any other knife. Hoping to get lucky at Rick's table drawing this year at ECCKS since I just can't bring myself to throw down the ~$800 for an XM-18 from a dealer. Other than that, I would also really like a Brian Tighe folder but I haven't decided which model yet. Actually, there are several makers I'd like to have a knife from :D

Immediate want list are a Swamp Rat Rucki, Enzo Trapper or Ursus, Survive! Gear GSO-5 or EDC-4, Case Gunboat Canoe, Daniele Serrano flipper, and a Sheffield army issue combat knife. Not many of those are very realistic... can't justify paying 155 bucks for a little 3 bladed Canoe.

I'm lucky enough to own my dream knives, which are any of my Darrel Ralph custom Gunhammers. (That doesn't stop me from having more on order from Darrel, though! :D) Since others are posting pics, I'll toss this one in, which I'd consider the crown jewel of my collection:

Just got my Grail Knife (Ritter mini-grip with Orange custom scales), and my Grail -1 is in the mail on the way to me (Case Sway Back Jack), so now it's just the couple of weeks wait till I get a hankering for another knife real bad.

what's the blade steel? laminated?

The knives I like are all users and none are particularly expensive or hard to find. I was thinking this morning how I would like to try a Becker BK7. I'd also like to try a traditional 'hawk.

That said, I'd love to check out some of the boutique knives like Chris Reeve or Busse some time to see what all the buzz is about.

That's one of the reason why I have not gone on a spending spree on pricey "high end" knives. I'm an outdoors man and I rather it be functional as well as being able to be pushed to it's very uppermost design limit and be just fine and dandy for another day. I'm not one that will let knives sit around and be all pretty. I rather it have scars as scars tells a better story.

That being said, I definitely want to add the BK# knives to my collection as I've seen so many videos of it being beaten and put to crazy use and still be alive for more fun the next day.

Why does this hobby with these tools have to be such a damn expensive collection? :p

A Loveless Big Bear.

Peter R's "swayback revisited".

Most anything by Jens Anso or David Mosier.

I know there are others, but that's the short list. That I can think of. At this moment....

A Ka-Bar reissue Becker BK77, Strider SnG, Emerson Commander, Microtech UTX-80, and a Bob Dozier hunter.
More or less in that order.
