The hell...does it really cost that much for such a knife?

for CASE or someone else to come out with a 2 bladed sodbuster jr. ( the normal blade along with a sheepsfoot blade too) in carbon steel.... i would also like the same thing on a buck 110 or 112 knife (also carbon steel )

Zero Tolerance 0350 in ZDP-189 and Spyderco Paramilitary 2 in either S90V or CTS-20CP

Yes. Anything that costs less is just a shell of what japanese blades use to be, if you contract to have a katana made, it could take a few years and a few million to have that sword.

There are a few good programs you can watch on it; there are very few blacksmiths who still know how to, and are willing to make these for sale. Because usually such things are made to pass down, not for selling off. It's an extremely unique process, they bend the steel so many times it's mind boggling; and very labor and percision intensive.

Anything by Terzuola, which may come true when I pay him a visit. I don't know if I'll be able to convince him to part with anything and still have money left for my plane ticket home, but as long as I can afford a new pair of shoes I can just walk back...

I love William Henry's. They are stupid expensive for the size and we'll say dollar to weight ratio but I love em. I am Blessed enough to have a couple and since I wear a suit to work lately I have been carrying the B-12 cbpb. I do wish he would produce something larger again than the 3" blade but for a dress knife I love them. I also find the zdp not overly difficult to sharpen and keeps a great edge for me. I wanted the large Sebenza with a wood inlay and raindrop damascus for a couple years before I got one. I still carry that outside work. For now I'm craving a Mick Strider Starlinggear. It's gonna be a while I have alot to take care of first :(

for me it would be an xm-24

only problem is with me spending this much $$$ on one blade it makes me want to never carry it. i have never lost/broken/damaged a knife under "normal" use. but for me to spend that much on the knife i would be too nervous to ever use it and taint it ha. and i like to buy only what i would/will actually use. idk tho I'm sure its a matter of time b4 a xm-24 ends up in my mail box
