What are your favorite framelock knives ?

I LOVE frame locks!!
One of my very favorite custom makers is Jim Harrision of Seamus Knives. Here is my Cracked Uber. Next is my Dervish knife. Strider SnG & Dog Paws PT CC, and CRK Inkosi.

Some Sebenzas I've seen seem to have a polished Ti handle. All but the lock part of the frame which looks to have a darker finish. Why is that ?
Not exactly sure what your ? is. The polished ti is used on their Unique graphic, computer generated graphics and most of their inlays(micarta excluded)-higher end models, and needed for the graphics, likely considered better looking and more sustainable for the inlays(wood inlays can't be reblasted with the wood intact). I would have to look up the reason for bead blasting the lock portion. I always thought it was due to the heat treat, but I believe there is another answer(just can't think of it at the moment)

Yes , that is my question. The actual locking part of the frame lock has that bead blasted finish while the rest of the Ti is polished. Looks a little odd to me. I was just curious as to what purpose it served.

TKC , that Dervish is beautiful. I just checked it out online. Just wish it was a bit bigger. But I'm still tempted to pick one up.

Which , specifically?

Just a few of mine, no complaints.

CRK Small Micarta Insingo
Spyderco Dice The XHP is such a great steel.
Spyderco Techno (reground blade) same steel

The only ones done like that are the inlays. Graphics and CGG's have all bead blast lockside. My theory of heat treat is based on sending in a knife that had been scotch brite treated(bead blast removed). They needed to heat treat the lock again and told me they would need to bead blast it afterwards. Another theory is that they polish on a flat surface and since the bar curves at that point they don't polish it.
No definite answer for you, and opinions run the full spectrum, from it should be all polished to all bead blasted to don't care.

Jill Jackson , awesome collection there. You're putting ideas in my head. Although I prefer non-flippers but still.

Also , does anyone know what kind of "finish" is on the titanium handle of the Spyderco Ti Military (non-Fluted) ? It has a nice feel to it. I love mine.

Whitty , great collection. The pics in this thread are making me drool.

Another Ti frame lock I like is the Chaves Redencion 228. Sweet knife.

I don't generally like frame locks, but there are a couple designs that have overcome that:

Lionsteel SR2
CRK Large Sebenza 21
Reate Hills
CRK Umnumzaan
DPX Heat

In that order.
