What are your favorite non-Becker knives to pair with your Becker

I realize you could get by with just Beckers, but I was curious if the Beckerheads or others around here had any non-Beckers that were there favorites to take along on a hike, an overnighter, a longer camping trip, or other adventure in the great outdoors. In my time around here, I've seen you show off or reference some SAKs, ESEEs, and a Bark River and Buck. I was curious if your other blade selections overlap as much as your affinity toward Beckers.

For me, I've been trying out Leathermans (s2 and xe6), SAKs (Ranger and Forester) and some Bucks (110 and 112), thinking combinations of these and Beckers would be very versatile on trips where weight was a concern or you at least didn't have the option of bringing 8 tools.

Lately I been pairing mine with either a ZT0350 or with a similar type of folder. I figure my Becker has the fixies covered so I carry a stout folder.

I like using a folder like a Kershaw Blur s30v and a SAK Cadet or Gerber Shortcut.
I usually EDC my 14 or a CS mini hunter in VG-1, at least one folder and a multi tool.

Right now I'm paring my Kershaw Blur s30v with my 16 and it's working well. But for two fixed blade's I have an Ontario pilot survival knife which is awesome for just about anything that my 16 can't handle. (The 16 is the only Becker i have right now. Hopefully that is soon to change)

I keep a Spyderco Manix 2 as an EDC. If I'm packin' in the woods, I usually keep whichever Becker on my hip, and my FBF machete strapped to my pack.

I took the family camping last weekend and brought along a bunch of knives to play around with. What I determined is that if I'm hiking or packing, I'll probably carry the 15 or 16 with a Candiru. If I need a chopper, I'll add the Kabar Cutlass to the mix.

The king should be here this week, so I'll have to put the Cutlass and 9 head to head on some splitting and chopping.

I've been carrying an izula as edc. Just got a candiru with micarta scales. That little thing is nicer than I thought it would be. I might start toting it around with me.

I sometimes pair up my BK9 with my Spyderco Tenacious, or my BK16 with my either my Fiddleback 14" machete CS trailhawk. I was trying a threesome of The Bk9, BK2 and Zt301 for a nice powerful combo but I got rid of the Zt and ever since I got my bk16 I've been neglecting my bk2.

Wow. Those are both some lookers! Not much you can't do with that pair. I saw some of the threads about that hatchet. How do you like it so far? And what kind of wood is that on the 17? I'm trying to pick some out for the 16 I got on the way.

I have my BK7 in my pack to handle all of the large chors. I carry a Blind Horse Bushcrafter on my belt and a BK14 in my pocket, usually a SAK or Leatherman somewhere for good measure.

I always have my 11. However I find that a nice chopper like a 4 or 9 compliment my bark river aurora pretty nicely. However a 15 also fits in it's place too.

I keep a Buck 110 in the front of my bk16s sheath. And no matter where I am I have my Buck vantage pro in my pocket.

SAK Rucksack, ZT 0561.

And just about anything that starts with Fiddleback and ends with Forge.

I've recently been keeping my Leatherman Wave in the front pouch of my BK12 sheath. It fits perfectly and compliments the 12 very well in terms of utility. Also nice that I have the right size hex key on the Leatherman to take the scales off the 12.

If I'm not carrying my BK14, I'll go for the ZT 0350 as well, sharp hell and damn near as durable as a fixed blade.

Aside from my Beckers, this one sees the most use.

Victorinox Swisstool Spirit

I was always a Leatherman guy but after picking one of these up in a trade recently, I'm really impressed with how slim and light the Spirit is as well as the great fit and finish.

Bark River Bravo-1 or Bark River Gunny and Izula II paired up with BK-4 or 9, and like Saturated Shadow, a Vic Spirit which I EDC and also EDC'd - Spyderco Manix and Buck Alpha Dorado.

The BKs cover the big blades, so I pair a smaller one. 3.5" or less.

Usually there's a multi-tool in the backpack somewhere.

BK5 + 2.85" Day Hiker:

Mediums + large, pick any two:
