  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What are your favorite non-Becker knives to pair with your Becker

I've done so much stuff with a leatherman that I seriously almost wrote the company a love letter to be used as add copy.
Including:
butcher a hind quarter
fix my truck- at least 60miles from help
fix my boat- at least a day's hike from help
make and eat dinner
cut webbing/ropes while climbing so I could sort out what's safe vs death
and a whole bunch of mundane tasks....

for the few things a becker can't do a pair o' pliers n some screwdrivers work wonders

I just got my CS Trail Hawk! Also, I have a Mora Classic #1 that I'm really liking along with a SAK Pioneer Harvester. For axes, I go with a Fiskars x7 or my Council Tool Hudson Bay.

I just got it but I'm thinking this lil Plumb is gonna see a lot of use.

I like what you did with your Wolf Creek hawk, Thrill. I need to do something similar to that. I'd like to try my hand at a leather wrap.

If it's a hiking trip I will usually carry my Spyderco PM2 in my pocket as well as my Leatherman Juice S2 (which goes in the sheath pouch if i'm carrying a 16/9). In Yosemite my set-up was BK-14 on the belt in a Godspeed! sheath, PM2 and Juice S2 in my right pocket and my 4sevens Quark 123 flashlight in my left pocket. Also one of my new favorite combos is my BK-9 and ESEE-4, not a lot you can't do with those two.
For EDC I can't carry a fixed because it's against the law in California so it's one of my folders (Spyderco Manix2/PM2/Dragonfly2, Benchmade Mini-Barrage/Mini Grip 555, Kershaw Leek) with my Leatherman and light. I do usually keep a fixed in my car though, either my BK-2 or BK-9, because you never know...

Thanks, I wanna redo it in leather, or just buy a ready-made handle that is pretty enuff to not need a wrap, 550 is all I had laying around.

I seem to fancy these two. I have a SOG multitool that I sometimes carry if I know I will need something off it but that is somewhat rare.

My Phat bob and my case sodbuster jr in CV

My everyday pocket knife pretty much ever since I got it has been my Phat Bob. It'll be splitting time with my new(ish) Case Trapper when I finally get it back (fell out of my pocket at my BIL's).

For smaller fixed blades it's been between the BK16 and my newest obsession the BHK Bushcrafter....

These would be paired with my BK9, when appropriate....

Here are a few I thought would nicely complement the 9 or 12. A couple Rangers and a Charge...

That's a wolf-whistling Spydie collection you've got there Cubsfan. And is that a G-10 Espada I see there? I've been waiting for the G-10 Espada XL to be re-released, but nobody ever seems to have them in stock.

That XL Espa is a real beast. Really gets some looks when I wave it out. The one I have is the L, as just like you mentioned before, the XL's are hard to come by. I'm told that they (CS) have the micarta one in stock, but dang they are really proud of that thing......

The BKs cover the big blades, so I pair a smaller one. 3.5" or less.

Usually there's a multi-tool in the backpack somewhere.

BK5 + 2.85" Day Hiker:

Mediums + large, pick any two:

Daizee,
Are those handle wraps the rubber types for a longbow? I was wondering how well that would work...

so far my izula 2 is the one i use the most in this role . it backs up the machax or the bk9 very well .
