What are your favorite non-Becker knives to pair with your Becker

I guess I like my Fiddlebacks best. Altough I lost my Hunter and it was my bestest knife. I carry an Izula a bunch, leatherman wave, and two benchmade folders.

Victorinox Super Tinker for EDC, replaced by a Vic Fieldmaster if heading bush (same tool with a saw added). Plus one (or two) of Fallkniven F1/Fallkniven S1/ESEE 4, but I have yet to add a BK16 into that size range. And a Spyderco folder, either a Tenacious or ParaMilitary 2.

Wow. Those are both some lookers! Not much you can't do with that pair. I saw some of the threads about that hatchet. How do you like it so far? And what kind of wood is that on the 17? I'm trying to pick some out for the 16 I got on the way.

I like it so far. haven't used it really but I tested grips and mock swings. its a monster. I don't remember the handle wood on the 17 but I remember its reclaimed from old floor boards and tommythewho rooted through his stock to find me some this special pattern

Murph,
What is that last pic. It looks like a cross between a Becker and a U-boat
Dean

That sir is the M-18. We debuted it at the Beckerhead gathering . So far there's only one in existence, but we're grinding more this weekend.

I always carry my BK2 and usually accompany it with a Benchmade mini presidio for the little things and a machete for clearing the trail.

I pretty much always have my Vic Huntsman with me. Today, it is complementing my BK11...

... but it also makes a pretty good team with the larger Beckers...

Beckerhead #42

Hmm, I was hoping I could ease back on the wish list browsing this month but this thread is not helping. Great pics everyone!

16 is usually paired with a skeletool, just replaced my edc folder after a million years with a spydy military. If I'm going out and about in the woods then the BK4 and trail hawk usually come along to play. Replacing the hawk with something custom is on my list of things to do.

I really enjoy taking my izula out with my BK2 if I'm going into the woods. I'm also enjoying pairing up my Spyderco Tenacious with my BK2.

I usually pair my Beckers with a couple of Spydercos and a Superknife. I'm partial to the Spydies for folding knives. They open easier and usually have all the features I want in a folder.

A couple of my latest blades haven't been Beckers. I've been cheating a little,, but I'm not too sorry.

I've got my JAB Potbelly, which is turning into one of my favorite knives.

And I just got my Wolf Creek Forge tomahawk today. Man, this thing is a sweet little chopper. I need to sent it to Skystorm and have him fit it for some leather pants.

I also bought a Mora 2000 a few weeks ago. I took it camping with me and did a few camp chores with it. It's a surprisingly good knife for such a low price.

Another blade I actually found buried in the dirt next to a ring of fire stones was this Cold Steel Black Rock Hunter. The edge was a little dinged up, but after I washed it off and reprofiled the edge, it turned out to be a nice, slicy little blade for doing camp chores, and despite the Aus 8 steel, it's not a bad little knife. Stays sharp for a decent amount of time. The design is not the best, in that opening and closing it is slow, but it has the benefit of not being able to accidentally close on your hands.

Sooooo ... If you have time to plan and pack it's nice. But if you don't (me) ... Go with what you got.

I carry a bunch of stuff, but always know where the BK 7 is. Plus a SAK and Buck Vantage Pro

Buck is tough to beat. Like a Becker, it's tough, well made and reasonable.

S30V blade, G 10 handles, BOS heat treat, Lifetime Warr ... all for about $55 ish !

But if you do have time ... It NEVER hurts to bring these along :D
