So I needed some shorts for the summer and decided to look for ones that were knife friendly. Specifically ones with a dedicated spot/pocket for a knife. I settled with the 5.11 Stryke 11" short and I happen to really like it. It has a reinforced pocket notch at the bottom of the side pocket on the right and left side. Does anyone have any suggestions for other brands?

Whatever shorts I'm wearing... except "under shorts".

I usually wear Dickies cargo shorts, cause they are inexpensive and comfortable.

generally cheap shorts with a drawstring - I just carry light knives in the summer. I also like zipped pockets so that my items do not fall out when I am driving.

If I am feeling dressy then some cargo pants, usually cheap no name brand items.

I was about to write that anything Ripstop is great for that, but then I saw the picture showing the shorts are in Ripstop. So I have nothing to add. Also: I don't wear shorts. 🥺👉👈

Sooo, not sure if they also make shorts, but I really like those Urban Tactical pants from Helikon Tex. Plenty of pockets for knives, and they also got reinforced hems on the basic front pockets, which is great for clips; they are also in Ripstop.

I just checked back, and yes, yes Helikon Tex also makes the Urban Tactical Pants as Shorts! 😇 (In black, coyote, khaki, and also in different camo patterns.)

I bought some Lee denim shorts from the big river because they looked like they had a big watch pocket. They did, and a Case mini Sodbuster rides comfortably. Win. They also had a cell phone pocket, although not why I bought them. My cell phone was a little tight with it's case, but it fit. Win, win. Bought two more pairs.

Never wore shorts when I lived in Wisconsin/Minnesota. Now that the Family and I are in Oklahoma I've had to adapt. 5.11 and dickies are my go too.

Truewerk T1 work shorts have a great reinforced knife clip area. Best shorts with plenty of pocket space without looking like old jungle BDU cargo pants pockets.

I don't wear shorts, ever....Bathing suit maybe once a year😜..........

Half the shorts they make nowadays are too damn long to be called shorts......Why bother😉
was gonna show ya in a meme they still make those mens 1970s super short shorts still, but......decided not to......

I wear jeans....have since I was a kid and learned wearing shorts led to insect bites and misery from thorns and sharp brush in the swamps and jungle.

I can’t recall the exact model but I have a few pairs of Eddie Bauer shorts with a bunch of pockets that don’t look like cargo shorts. In the slightly stretchy material so I can climb a tree or ride a bike or whatever.

I tend to modify my knife to my attire. In the summer, I am usually sweating more and wearing lighter clothes to deal the with oppressive humidity. Autumn-Spring, I'm in jeans. Big chunky folder, multitool on my belt, etc. In the summer I wear these shorts I like I got from Costco. They are light, cheap enough to mess up at work and not care about, and have nothing more than a draw string on them. Today, I have attached the pocket clip to my leatherman and am carrying a Salt Stretch XL. If I knew I didn't need the LM later today, I would have just left it at home. I'm all about packing light and stainless when I am brining myself with sweat :P
