What are your thoughts on Kizer?

Okay, I literally LOL'd on this one. Nothing against Hinderers, but I still think it's funny, because I would have done the same. :D

He brought the Klecker from the back, I took it out of the packaging, flicked it open once and said I'll take it. Smooth. Put it back in the box. He brought a digicam xm-18 3.5 out and I stood there for 15 minutes flipping it, just didn't wow me like I thought it would and it was a giant want for me. Flipped the Intrepid a couple times and was immediately sold.

Like you, I have nothing against Himderer and may get one in the future, but I'm a big Kizer guy right now.

I'd love to, sweetheart, if you'd but grant us the same respect.
okay, well I'm long out of highschool, and this drama has to come to an end. I just don't have time, to argue with kids on a forum. So, thanks for all your input, and have a nice day

God forbid that someone questions a China-made knife, when historically, China-made knives are known to be crap...

What are you trying to argue about? Are you arguing.....for the sake of arguing?

Thank you. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm a very blunt person, and yea sometimes things come out wrong, but rather than let your emotions dictate your reaction and response, you'd think people can be calm and do what they can to give someone accurate information.

Check this out on 3 Kizer knives I had. All excellent materials, excellent craftsmanship :D

I'm not sure if they're worth getting. The materials are good in my opinion. But at such a low price point, something has to be off. G-10 and s35vn for $75? That just doesn't seem right to me. Coming from China I assume the fit and finish is poor. I don't know. Anyone with experience with Kizer care to shed some light ?

Hey JDX I believe the biggest testament in a knife and it's quality and respect is in the resale.

Resale prices of Kizer are decent. You don't see many people offloading Kizer for steep losses the way you did with quartermaster at some point (ppl were selling those things for $50) etc... Kizer is here to stay for sure.

The reason I joined BladeForums in the first place was because of Kizer. I live in Upstate NY, I have an uncle and father in law that both worked at Crucible Steel.
I wanted a knife made from CPM S35VN. I started looking on Ebay and found Kizer. At the time they wanted about $50-100 less then anyone else for the same steel. I started reading reviews and was directed here.
At the time Kizer was fighting to get a place on the manufacturer's forums here. Do a search on the boards here and read the threads. They not only overcame blatant bigotry and racism. They did it with style. Read the reviews and check out their forum here. They truly listen and maintain a very active presence. Also check out their Facebook page. They're active at all the big shows.
I own 3 Kizers and planning on buying more. This my latest Kizer I bought last week. Kizer Vanguard Intrepid.

A poor man's Sebenza is the Kizer. Good fit & finish, designs, and materials. Here is a great video about one of their knives.

Small world, I'm in upstate too, if you consider the Catskills TRULY upstate haha. Thanks for the info, I'm going to start checking out the different models.

This does not surprise me and I do not mean for this to be or sound rude. We often have customers who walk in the door and prefer another knife to a Hinderer when they were coming in to buy a Hinderer. The Hinderer is not a pick it up and be blown away by it knife. The knock you off your feet factor with a Hinderer is when you carry it for a few weeks and then go back and pick up a knife you thought was its equal or close enough for the price. That is when you realize the Hinderer is worth it.

Don't know a lot about Kizer because we do not sell them. I will be curious to see how they are holding up in a year or 2 and how their customer service is. I was impressed to see someone earlier say they had talk to the owner and were impressed. I wish them luck! I still personally prefer you buy American:D

The look like quality Chinese knives along with Reate but I'll be giving my business to American made knife companies.

I love the Hinderer storyline in this thread. I was in a similar situation when I visited GPKnives physical store ~6 months ago. Walked in on my birthday with around $400 cash in my pocket expecting/hoping to buy my first fancy midtech and walked out with a classy little Boker linerlock dress knife . Anyways....

Does anyone here have experience with the Kizer Gemini? It's the only Kizer knife that has really caught my eye and that seems appropriate for my office work setting. Is it as high quality as the other Kizer blades touted in this thread?

Dvin211 +1 Great post,im also stunned by Kizer quality!Very friendly company with superb support. Also they have really superb quality check control.

They're actually amazingly well made, each one I've had has surpassed my expectations, and the materials are legit (titanium is non magnetic, good caged ball bearings, steel is as advertised).

They're so affordable because they're made in China where it's an option to pay really really low wages and overhead.

I purchased a kizer out of curiosity because I liked the style of it. It was every bit as well made as any ZT, Hinderer, Strider, or CRK I have owned. You won't be disappointed with the quality of a Kizer!

I recently got the Kizer Pinkerton Rogue and it's good quality including the steel. Overall I'm impressed. I wish it were ground a bit thinner. Lockup, centering and detent strength are all perfect.

I didn't own any Kizers when you started posting, but I have been so impressed and moved by your insights and input that I ordered three today from a Bladeforums supporting dealer.

Kizer Vanguard Series Sovereign Flipper Black/Blue G-10 (3.6" Stonewash) V4423A2 Qty: 1

Kizer Vanguard Series Bolt Knife Red/Black G-10 (3.5" Gray) V4412A2 Qty: 1

Kizer Cutlery Ki405 Folding Knife Black/Red G-10 (3.5" Satin) Qty: 1

Hopefully I'll receive them by the middle of next week. I'll let you know what I think.

How much are you being paid per post?

Alfred, what exactly is your argument? Can you prove that Kizer employees are only compensated with rice bowls?
