Great Eastern Cutlery Northfield 53 Cattleman knife in blue oyster acrylic, this has been carried most over the past two years.
Opinel No. 8 carbon
Classic Mora
mid size SAK of some sort, right now the Camper is king
I've been forcing myself to carry my Case SS stockman more now, it's most carried this month.
That depends on which pocket we're talking about....
Right front: PM2 with aluminum scales, 3.5" XM18, SNG CC, large micarta insignia, and 0560
Left front: GEC models 92, 15, 77, 47, and 55 (all single blades, in bone or wood)
Left rear: recently stuck a Military there; but I don't know if it will make ETC status (I hope so, because I ordered new scales for it...but sometimes it seems like overkill - especially when I've got a fixed blade on my belt, as well.)
XM-18 3.5 Slicer - When I want to carry something HD
Manix 2 (S30V FFG or Cruwear) - All around EDC
Native 5 - EDC backup
BM 940 - When I need LW, also an EDC backup
Delica Titanium/Damascus - Dress/Gentleman knife
1) ZT 0392BRNGLD (Thats the one of the three I pocket the most right now)
2) Spyderco PM2 S35VN
3) CKF Tegral but I just got a Sablya and it carries really well
4) ZT 0750
5) Alan Folts prototype Chival I just picked up while I wait for Alan to fabricate me a custom piece.
I also have an HK Mini Axis that I just received plus Sage 1, Manix 2, Manix 2 LW, & Para Military 2. Each will be worked into the rotation but haven't had the chance to carry them much yet.
Probably not what the question meant, but if I could only keep five to carry from now on it would be :
- sebenza 25
- small insingo sebenza
- GEC 85 in cocobolo with pen and spear
-alox pioneer rancher
-spyderco Manbug (when I need something little in the watch pocket)
1. Benchmade 950 Rift - for when I want a knife in my pocket
2. Spyderco Native 5 LW - for when I want a knife in my pocket and the Rift has been in my pocket for too long
3. Bradford Guardian3 - when I'm know I'm going to be doing hardcore knife-related work but I don't have an excuse for carrying along one of my bigger fixed blades.
I love how this question pops up pretty much every month or 2, and yet still subject to chsnge every time, depending on how i feel that day (or what new purchases i made since then)
Today's top 5 edc list:
BM 810 Contego (M390) - all around
Kershaw Blur (ELMAX) - casual
Cocobolo Urban Trapper (VG10) - gentleman
Kizlyar Ute (440C) - beater
Arno Bernard Wasp (N690) - fixed
*honorable mention: I didn't mention the SAK Huntsman, as it is the edc accessory which I edc almost always alongside whichever other knives I carry that day..
At present (ask me in a month as I'm checking out other knives):
1. BM 940 (business casual, which means pretty much everyday carry, at the moment)
2. Fallkniven U2 (when I want something small, inoffensive, with no clip)
3. HK Mini Axis (jeans / weekend carry)
4. Vic Farmer Alox (pretty much anytime I'm carrying # 3)
5. GEC # 83 (suit knife...but of course, when I have to wear a suit, I'm in court, where I can't take the knife)
1. Small plain sebenza 21 - very light, just disappear in pockets. Easy to clean and maintain. Carried in a leather pouch inside my pocket. My top daily edc
2. Hinderer XM-18 3" wharncliffe - Didn't really like it at first, but slowly it gets to me. The sturdy feel and the usefulness of the blade. My carry today in fact. Like my sebenza, also carried in a leather pouch inside my pocket
3. Victorinox Compact - A very useful daily carry. A backup blade and all the tools always find its use daily. Its a money well-spent.
4. Spyderco paramilitary 2 - Carried on the day when i need bigger blade. The weight is excellent for its size. The G-10 handles just add to the grippiness.
5. Well.. Everything else i guess [emoji28] (i love them all.. cannot select, dont blame me)
Vic Alox Cadet - always
Vic Alox Mini Champ - always
Case Slimline Trapper - in my bag, fruit slicer
ZT 0566 - car armrest
Some other random slipjoint out of my collection - varies depending on mood or need of the day.
I'd say the Yo2 and 710 are my favorites and have been for a long time. They do everything I need them to do very very well. The others I carry depending on my mood.
