While my original list still holds pretty true, I'don't like to add;

Buck Vantage Pro (lg) - finds a lot more time in my pocket in the summer months

Kabar bk11 w/ tdi clip - for casual fixed blade

Viper Ten is finding a lot of pocket time lately since acquiring it recently.

Pics or it didn't happen

Haha awesome thanks! I like to have faces to the names. I like that African fixed blade you've got there.

I have a similar Buck, it doesn't have the BOS steel though.

It does have a sweet zip on it though.

I'm not sure how they got the buck stamp so out of place. Other ones I see have almost 1/4 inch clearance between the stamp and the hole.

Presently, in no particular order:

1. Spyderco Worker (recent Sprint Run) - business casual
2. Vic Alox Farmer - left front pocket most of the time
3. Southern Grind Spider Monkey - evening/weekend/low profile (in jeans, sans clip)
4. HK Nitrous Blitz - jeans & t-shirt
5. HK Mini Axis - yard work/housework/camping

Ask me the end of the summer...4 & 5 may change by then. :)

Top 5
1. Hinderer xm18 3.5 slicer
2. Marfione custom MSG 3. Basically a strider sng with a flipper
3. Large regular sebenza with bg42
4. Spyderco delica
5. Spyderco sage 2

Small Plain Jane Sebenza double lug 21..................................Utility, for everything from scrapin' gaskets to cuttin' my sandwich in half.

l7jUkBF.jpg

LoneWolf/Loveless City Knifeworks.........................................Delicate work, the needle like point on the Wharncliffe blade is like an exact knife and great for detail work and works really nice for whittlin' those fine details.

S9o4pqq.jpg

2015 CSC Serpentine Shadow Jack........................................Sheeple and office friendly, openin' letters cuttin' string and tape, the stainless blade is great for foodstuffs, slicin' apples, peelin' oranges.

XoJSr1Z.jpg

ZT 0808/ZT 0770CF............................................................. 0808 back up folder, a bigger version of the pointy City Knife and the 0770CF makes a great back up utility also, a little bigger than the small Sebenza but the reduced weight because of the CF more than makes up for the size.

Late 80s early 90s Bud Nealy Aikuchi fixed blade, originally bought as a SD knife but it's become more of a utility knife than I expected. In nearly 20+ years of carry it's done everything from food prep to make kindlin' but not once has it been pulled in an SD capacity but if need be I know I can depend on it no matter what the task.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of AB's designs. The wife bought it for me for christmas last year, making it all the sweetee...

As for yoyr Buck, Even if it's not s30v, their 420hc, at least on the US made knives (like the vantage) are still BOS heat treated... someone correct me if I'm wrong there?

But yeah, that stamp is definitely a fail on their part... hope it was discounted, factory 2nd/blemish... great little basic low(er) end knife though imo.

Nice elephant btw!

The Urban Trapper has some competition as my top Gentleman carry choice.

And little bit thicker and heavier, but also a bit more sturdy, and more attractive imo.

Haha thanks, but it's not mine it's my mom's elephant. She kind of collects them. That pic was from last winter when we went on a vacation in Florida at her place. I didn't bring any knives with me, so I bought the buck and found a key chain knife with my son's name on it at the flea market.

I'm pretty sure I paid full price on the buck. Terrible selection in Florida.

She's a keeper! The AB and the Mrs.

1. JD Eliis sodbuster style wharnie slip joint
2. Clyde Challenor mk2
3. Gec Bull nose
4. GEC 77 barlow
5. benchmade large grip g10(soon to be replaced by steel will mini gecko)

this is overall carry but the two locking folders are always carried at work along with whatever slip joint I feel like carrying, vice versa I usually just carry the slip joints when not at work.

I've never checked out the Urban Trapper before, but I might have to give it a shot. Definitely looks like something I'd put to use. Does it feel like a solid knife or is the lock a bit on the flimsy side? I don't abuse my blades, but I still like em to feel like they can take a little abuse.

The Mcusta is nice but the tip down carry kills it for me and the blade feels a bit light compared to the handle. Just flicking it out usually doesn't get it fully locked, have to give it a little extra nudge, I'm sure that would break in over time though.

These have been getting the most pocket time from me lately, especially the 940 and 0450...

Yeah, I don't mind tip down, so long as it isn't a flipper. Which it isn't. Other then that, I think it feels great in hand.

As for the urban trapper, definitely feels like there isn't much to it. Super thin and light, but cuts and slices great. What makes it great for a gentleman's folder, weight and deep clip, it wears great in an inner suit jacket pocket, or even dress pants if needed, not much different then a pen.
