What are your Top 5 Knife Brands?

In order:

Jason Guthrie Customs (far and away my favorite ATM)
Ferrum Forge Knifeworks
Shirogorov
Olamic Tactical
Chris Reeve Knives

MY top 5 (by category)

Fixed -

Western (pre-1992)
Kabar
Becker (whether by Blackjack, Camillus or Kabarr)
Muela
Ontario

Folders -
Buck
Protech
Case
Western
Camillus

Axes/Tomahawks/Hatchets
Cold Steel (tomahawks - for throwing)
Estwing (single bits - general use and throwing)
Collins (double bits - throwing)
True-Temper/Kelley (double bits - throwing)
Vaughan (lathing hatchets - throwing)

BUCK is my top knife brand and my knives are Made in Idaho.

Ka-Bar is my second knife brand and the three that I own are Made in New York.

I only use fixed blade knives and those are my top 2 knife brands.

I really do not have 5 top knife brands.

I own two different styles of Estwing camp axes and a couple of Sog 'hawks too.

Cate

Shirogorov
Chris Reeve
Benchmade
Spyderco
Zero Tolerance

Those are more or less in order. I do prefer my Benchmades to my Spydies, but have many more Spydies than ZTs. It's hard to say I like the former more than the latter--they're just so different. As to the top three, price-point plays a role, as I feel I damn well should like a $1000 knife better than one at $500, in turn better than a $250 piece. That's not entirely the case, though, as each brand has it's place in my carry, use, and affection.

1- Chris Reeve
2- Shirogorov
3- Strider
4- Al Mar
5- Busse

This ranking is only on industrial/mid-industrial.. About the custom would not be enough 3 pages to list my favorites....

In no particular order:

-Victorinox
-Mora
-Spyderco
-Cold Steel
-Strider

I just got my first Pro-Tech for Christmas. Very nice! They might get added to the list soon.

Not in order and all in there for different reasons that make them all very, very good:

Brous Blades
Guardian Tactical
Hinderer
WeKnives
Hoback

(and for those asking rhetorically above, "yes" - I own multiples from all 5 of those brands.)
