  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Beer did you open with your BK11 Today?

No beer last night but just bought some OD handles for the 11. Figured if she was opening expensive beers she should dress for the occasion.

Where sir did you find OD handles. Just a name, not prices or websites or links so its not deal spotting. Unless its on that popular auction site, in which case pm me.

I have to say I am jealous of the bottle opener, I have yet to find a safe way to open a bottle with the knives I have haha. I actually went for wine last night anyway

On another note, I was into pale ales for a while but I've moved away from the hoppier varieties. Bear Racer 5 is an excellent one if you dont like them too hoppy

I hear you. It's funny how your taste changes. I started out with wheat beers and now am drinking some really hoppy, high ABV stuff. If the knife did nothing else (which it dies) it would be worth the price for the opener. Now if they could just add 1 inch to the handle it would be perfect!!!!

I opened a can of Coors light with mine...that's right. Angled the bottle opener hook under the pull tab and rotated opened right up. I was going to us the 9 on the next one but figured the wife would get upset about the foam everywhere and y'all would demand pics.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to justify playing with the knives.

I have been wanting to post in this thread for a while. Got my 11 last night. Sharpened it up today and enjoyed me some Alamo beer made in Texas.

Dragging this one back up. I am off work for 4 days and plan to put this 11 to work opening beverage.

Happy Thanksgiving Beckerheads!!!

Keep hearing so many good things about Founders. Have never seen a bottle in Texas.

Call me a homer, but they are the real deal. If you're ever in a state they distribute in do yourself a favor and try a few.

Looks like Alabama and Missouri are the closest to TX.

I'll back up the homer :D Founders is one of my favorite breweries. I don't think I've ever had a bad beer from them. If I had know about this thread I would have posted a pic of my 11 opening a bottle of KBS the other day.

Liveitloud,

Where's some Jester King pics? They make some great beer.
