  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Beer did you open with your BK11 Today?

Why, some Cherry Red Ginseng MEAD, homebrewed of course!

Now if I could only get Ethan to do a version of the BK11/14 with a corkscrew.....

I'll back up the homer :D Founders is one of my favorite breweries. I don't think I've ever had a bad beer from them. If I had know about this thread I would have posted a pic of my 11 opening a bottle of KBS the other day.

I had KBS for the first time this year. Don't get me wrong, it's really good, but not sure if it was worth the cost and effort to get the 7 bottles I was able to acquire. I honestly think I like FBS better..... mmmm Breakfast Stout.

The KBS was good, but not enough bourbon imo. Now, the GI Bourbon County Stout I had on tap..... now that's some bourbon (in a good way).

From everything I hear, you guys in PA get great distribution despite your crazy laws.

I would have to agree with you about Breakfast Stout. I drink a whole lot more of that than KBS.

Yes, we have fantastic distribution, especially in philly. And our laws aren't really that crazy. We're making progress.

Ehh, inconvenient is probably a better word than crazy (they make no sense, to me at least). Glad to hear they're making progress though.

Ah, and ESB... seems to be a style not appreciated by many.

I've liked the few I've tried. Don't think I've ever seen that one on the shelves here.

I know this thread is a little old but I liked it and I plan on drinking more beer this summer so why not give it a shot in the arm.

Tried this blue moon for the first time tonight, I thought it was tasty. It had a nice slight roasted flavor with some sweeter finishing notes.

Did I use my 11 anyway just because I could .........yeah ;)

You need a slice of orange to properly enjoy Blue Moon.

I agree. I actually threw a slice in after I took this picture but those ones came out blurry because my camera skills suck. I like blue moon in the summer, they just seem to go together.

Stone Brewing Company 13th anniversary ale

I think they're calling it an Extra Strong Ale type, and at 11% alcohol I guess I agree. Sure is tasty, kind of like a high-octane porter. Mmmm :p
