What Benchmades do you NOT like?

I don't own any, but I don't like the Gold Class. I don't like collector-oriented art knives.

Not all Gold Class knives are art knifes. Sometimes it denotes a higher level of quality materials.

For instance, the Benchmade line of Chef's knives are Gold Class and meant to be used, not at all for show

Probably the 62. 300 dollars and just a freaking slap in the face compared to the 42, for obvious reasons.

Okay, Gold Class *with exceptions*.

Anything with Harley Davidson written on the side. No offense to anyone who loves the HD's, but mixing Benchmade with Harley Davidson is like mixing Diet Coke with Pappy Van Winkel, or for the scotch drinkers, Diet Coke with Lagavullin or Johnny Blue. It just isn't right.

Thank you! They took a perfectly great model the Nagara and ruined it with the HD logo.

I meant it as in, brand new vs users; the jumping out of the box is painful and I find that a used, or sanded down Contego is a lot easier on my hands. Sorry for confusion!

Similar reasons to the OP; found it kinda clunky and awkward.

Love the Rift, 940/943 Osborne and Mini-Grip however. Looking forward to the 7505.

Do you mean a non-gold class version of the 7505?

Yeah, either that (if it's ever made), or the cheaper gold class version (with the green scales) which I haven't seen being sold anywhere yet. Most sites have it as a pre-order.

I would be all over one of those. I would get rid of the auto function and just make it a mono-lock and hopefully that would help get the price down.

530. I considered getting one until I found out how thin the blade is.
Also, I don't care for any of Benchmade's Bali-Songs. I'm not saying there of poor quality in any way, they just are not my thing.

I dont like the mini-versions of most knives. Seems to me that the original size versions have the better proportions. If I want a small knife, I want one designed to be small, not a chopped down version of a larger knife.

300sn, its just too goofy feeling. If you have larger sized hands its terribly uncomfortable imo. And the flipper is horrible, at least on mine so I cut it off.

I sold or sent back the 530 and the 300SN immediately. The 530 felt too flimsy (although I know it's not) and the 300SN was too clunky. I also never warmed up to the 746 or the 470. I did not like the assist on the 470, other than that it was a fine knife.
