What bike do you ride?

1995 KLX 650.

I got it with 1100 miles on it.

Lots of fun. I have taken it on 12 hour rides in one day (single, unbalanced cylinder) 90/10 dirt tires makes for a hell of a lot of vibration at 80 mph (not to mention at 110).

Really fun to get off road (not as good as a normal dirt bike because it is geared a bit tall for slower trails).

It has not been ridden for 2 years. It needs a tune up badly (carb work), and I can't ride it to work (not exactly suit and tie friendly, but I used to put my suit in my back pack and ride it anyway). Plus, I have two kids now.

I have been riding it for over 6 years. It paid for it's self in the first season, just on gas money saved from my old Bronco (60 mpg vs 9 mpg on the beast). I rode it every day to school and work. I have ridden in -20 degrees!!! I don't think I am crazy enough to do that anymore! I used to ride in my full snowboard gear including goggles, and gloves (minus the huge boots of course).

I think now I want a Sportster set up to look like a dirt tracker, or off road. Just some thing about that design, the peanut tank, and knobbies with the rubber fork covers that tickles me.

I also really like the BMW GS adventure, just for the versatility and huge tank!

Here's another '07 FJR rider- my first bagger and man! do I love that bike!

The old me would've been so jealous of that Duc, now I think I'm too old to really do it justice, even though the FJR is no slouch.

I am definitely jealous of anybody who got to ride a Norton Commando! When I was starting out, mountain racing a '74 Yamaha 500 (great bike in it's time), that Norton was legendary.

For you guys with the 650 V-Stroms, are they as comfortable to ride as they are to sit on? I've never had 2 bikes at the same time, but I'd to have one of them for a lightweight alternative. I've read they handle like a dream in the twisties. Guys on the FZ1 forum used to say they were quicker on their V-Stroms!

Avatar was an F2 in MCRA series at Gateway Park (East St. Louis, Ill) early nineties. Had a couple non-racers since then. Sadly, don't have squat now.

Want to get an Enduro. Post'em if ya got'em.

Here's my others in garage.

I've been taking up more space in garage since 02. My wife says I have a problem. I don't think so. The 600s will probably find a new home this year. Maybe the rc51 as well since picking up the duc.

I ride a 2011 Harley Road King Classic
Bought it new this year, Love it because it's extremely comfortable and has just about every option including cruise control.
In the past I've ridden a Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Triumph and Kawasaki.
I'm going for a ride to Laconia Harley right now, See ya!!

For what it's worth, every wife has a problem with a husband's excitement that somehow excludes their participation.

I started out on mini bikes and a Honda trail 50 as a teen. Rode a few dirt bikes in by early 20's. The first bike I bought was a 2005 Honda shadow aero 750. It was a nice bike, just wanted something a little bigger.
So that led to my current ride, a 1996 Honda Goldwing 1500 SE. It rides like a Cadillac, only down fall is it's a little big for quick trips around town, but that don't stop me.

The RC51 is a classic. It changed World Superbike when in came out.

No doubt, I loved it for along time till I got the 1198. I actually preferred riding it over pretty much all my other bikes. You get used to the torque and it's hard to go back.... but the 1198 has traction control and I don't have to clutch my up shifts due to the quick shift. not to mention the 180 hp goodness... The RC just won't get any ride time by me anymore. I'm sure I'll be mopey the day she goes though.
