ec9, take it easy at the gap, I've heard 1098s have gathered a bad rep there (I know yours is a 1198 but still)
First bike, 06 Ninja 636, I might try to get one of these later if money allows it:
2nd bike, 86 VFR:
got her for $300, had to give her massive doses of TLC and some mods but ended selling her (and trading the 636) to get my current ride, 07 ZX14:
all stickers are gone and replaced with a bigger dragon on both sides, this baby sure breathes fire...and I love her...

I have lots of respect for the tail of the dragon 
She bit me once early in my riding career. I had that same VFR lol! Boy did I beat the crap out of it. A buddy and I split the cost on it. I must of dropped that thing 4 or 5 times when learning. We got ours for around 600 bucks back then. I remember changing the oil and my buddy said "There can't be that much oil in there" and put a large McDonalds cup under it to catch the oil. Needless to say there was ton of kitty litter on the garage floor shortly after.. Ah good times
I learned with the gap though to stay away from there during hunting season. I can't prove it but I have major assumptions about the locals tossing gravel on the road because it messes with there hunting.I could be crazy maybe but I never see gravel in summer. I'm pretty sure it's not seasonal like the leaves :O
