Step-by-Step Knifemaking is what you're looking for. Here are its contents if you're interested:
1. Starting out
2. Tools
3. Different Kinds of Knives
4. Cutting out the Blade
5. Grinding the Blade
6. Building the Bolster, Finger Guard, and Butt Plate
7. Heat-treated the Carbon Steel Blade
8. Trueing up the Blade
9. Regrinding and Polishing the Blade
10. Drilling Rivet Holes
11. Rivets and Pins, Pins and Rivets
12. Handle Materials
13. Making a Full-tang Scale Handle
14. The Partial-tang One-piece Handle
15. Buffing the Knife
16. Sharpening and Maintenance
17. Step-by-Step Checklist
18. Production Notes
19. Etching Designs into the Steel
20. Sheathmaking
So as you can see, it pretty much covers all the basic steps, plus some. I don't recommend going by their etching section though...there are far better etching methods out there.
