What box would hurt more landing on your head?

I'm guessing it's too cold to chuck wood, so probably hibernating?

Woodchucks don't truly hibernate, they enter what's called torpor... I actually think it's breeding season right now.

Edited to add: Just checked Stokes Guide to Animal Tracking and Behavior... Breeding season starts late January and runs to March.

I theorize that a box with 100 pounds of feathers will hurt less if the feathers are not compressed but loose. The box should have a lot of surface area whichever can give.

A box of metal will transfer most of its energy into the target cranium.

The Crumple Zone effect..... cars do it now a days in car accidents
The longer the duration of impact the less the effects of the force. It's absorbed so to speak. Vs. a Bounce which is bad (for your head/face/whatever)
