USAF 1979 - 2005 (15 of my 26 years in Asia)

I met some great people, saw a large part of the world (Some sandy spots with oil fires burning I would rather forget) and generally had a great time.

I was also a Ground Radio troop and we STILL had tubes in many pieces of equipment when I started my electronics career.

USAF '85-'89, Crypto Maint./Installation

Joined mainly cause my dad and brother were both in. My dad is a great man, and the AF made him everything he is today.

The AF did the same for me. Would I do it again??? Maybe.

BTW, my 2 sisters went Army.

USAF 87-97. Russian and French linguist. Aircrew aboard various special aircraft.

Had some fun, saw the world, and learned to stay away from the sandbox. I would do it again, but glad I only did 10 years.

U.S.M.C left for bootcamp the day after graduation.I had wanted to be a Marine from the time I was 7.We attended my moms best friends brothers funeral. He had been KIA in Vietnam. From that moment seeing him in his dress blues I wanted to serve my country. Was the best time I ever had served with a lot of great guys!

I joined the U.S. Army because of the college money, and the Airborne and Ranger options. I craved being a paratrooper since I was 10. I loved it. I took advantage of every option/school available. Ranger school, Jump school, PLDC, AirAssault School, SERE training, Excellerated Spanish and Pathfinder school. I didn't excersise my Special Forces option because it required a second enlistment. I needed to get out and go to college.
Served from 1986-1990 and again in 1991.

USMC 59-64 Avation Electronics/ Electrician Helos. Changed my life.

Still miss it. Wish I had stayed in.

Air Force 1981-2002, Ground Radio Maint. Loved the job and it allowed me to get a good career job when I retired. Would I do it again........yes!
