I think it's interesting that no one has mentioned Camillus. In the last two years they have become the brand I buy most. I love their folder collaborations with Darrel Ralph, the Jerry Fisk OVB line, and all of Eathan Becker's designs. And it is wonderful to see production versions of custom designs that use the same top-end materials as the originals. Camillus has become a major innovator!

I'm still a big fan of Spyderco and I love my Benchmades, but Camillus keeps coming out with the knives that I just can't wait to get my hands on.

I only have four but that's more than any other single brand. I have a lot of singles. One CRKT, one Leatherman, etc, etc. There's just something about a big forged blade. They come alive.

Presently carying a blade-tech Tarani Karambit; Emerson Lagriffe; SAK Hiker, and SAK multi-tool.

No one maker has my attention, though I went through the spyderco, benchmade, MT, MOD, phases in years past.

I like trying something new if I think it will work for me. Maker is less important than blade steel for me.

If I'm partial to anything it is the MOD and Microtechs

In my meager little collection I would have to say :

Fixed : BK&T and Swamprat
Folder: Benchmade :)

I just got my mini-Griptilian 555 yesterday, and I can't stop admiring it. TSEK is a great knife as well. The 705 has my eye for my next folder. AXIS Lock is about as close to perfection as a non-auto can get, in my mind.

Regards,

Shaun.

My collection consists of Benchmades, and Emersons, with some odds & ends thrown in. No customs as of yet, but that will change very soon.

I'll always be partial to Benchmade because they are made here in the Pacific Northwest, and the 970SBT was my very first 'expensive' knife; purchased from a dealer friend of mine when they first came out. I still have it, but it is pretty well destroyed. (very hard use)

Multitools: SOG PowerLock and the Gerber 800 Legend (Thanks, K.V. Collucci, for the recommendation!)

I would love to purchase a Sebbie and others, but I'm too much of a cheapskate to part with the cash.

I know they just recently started making knives, but Blade-Tech has my eye right now.

Himalayan Imports:)

Although I have picked up an INFICoot and a SOG Blink so far this year as well as 3 HIs (a BAS, an AK, an M43 ... and counting).

Spyders by a long shot. I have always been drawn to products that are high on quality and function with form as a lesser priority. Standing around looking good doesn't get the job done!

As Mr. Glesser once said himself, “…tractors don't have to look like Ferraris”

Spyderco for quite a bit but my craze has died down for now. Still buying them when I see a deal.

shootist16:

My blade-tech Tarani Karambit is built solid as a rock.

Excellent execution in materials fitting and
ergonomics.

Met Tim at the NTI in Pa. several years ago. He takes pride in his name and work.

Fallkniven!

I am completly hooked on their knives!
I think they makes the best stainless knives in the factory market. I would like to own every knife in their production line.

CRK large Sebenza, I just started carrying it and I will never go back to another knife.

I had to say "Other".., simply because I don't like everything any of them make.., but some models that they are make :)

Hard to beat Benchmade with all variables considered, but I guess I'm not "Hooked" on any of them...

Spyderco. I lusted after a SS Police for years before I picked one up on an impulse buy while on vacation last year. I found this website at about the same time and it was off to the races. Then, I heard about last years sale at SMKW. Then the one at Outdoor America. Then e-bay. Th... I can stop any time I want. Really.
