Got this little gem in the pocket today

Did someone say Lux?
Here is a few and each one is slightly different than the others. Whether its blade finish, scale finish and or scale finishes. None are the same except all but one have the same date code and made in the USA.View attachment 1352992 View attachment 1352993 View attachment 1352994 View attachment 1352995 View attachment 1352996 View attachment 1352997 View attachment 1352998 Last two are S30V. Great slim little knives that have great fit and finish.

Sir, that is a glorious roundup of the Lux series!

I have just started to dig on the collection due to my new jobs requirement that I keep blades under 3 inches. The Lux just seemed to be the right candidate for the job.

Since it just arrived yesterday I’ll be rocking this 319 ( sorry for the recycled pic from yesterday). As all my new ones I’ll carry it a day or two before flushing the joints and putting it in the shelf.
I know it’s a bit silly but I carry every knife I buy so In the future when one of my kids / grand kids / great grand kids gets one they will know it’s one the old man carried...View attachment 1355611

That's an excellent idea!

Here's an odd one that I suspect most have never heard of or seen, the Buck 344 Steel Ridge (Canadian Tire exclusive?). I got this in a combo set with a smaller knife (345?), but this is as small as I can hold on to, so I gave the smaller one to my daughter. This has lived in my console for the last three years, so I decided to bring it in for a cleaning. Trouble is (as you can see) it really has never been used much and I think I carried it maybe once. The pocket clip is super stiff and will need bending out when I get around-2-it.

I bought his combo pack, as well as the Nobleman/Colleague combo pack for pennies, I think CT was clearing them out. I have to say that I am somewhat impressed just how decent these "cheap" knives are. The liner lock on this is certainly not made for batoning (that's an attempt at humour) but if used as a simple EDC knife, it quite likely will do the job. Spine tapping will not result in a failed lock, unlike some ZT's (another attempt at humour). I have no idea what steel is on these things but I can get all 4 "sticky" sharp with the Turnbox crock sticks.

I'm quite surprised that C.T. actually sold a knife with a thumbstud. None of the Bucks that I've purchased there have one even though they're supposed to be equipped with one.

Yes, I'm not sure who at CT is responsible for procuring knives, but they sure do bring in junk at the best of times. I would think that "Canada's Hunting and Fishing Store", would take a little more pride and bring in decent knives, you know, for hunting and fishing? Think of all the "real" Buck's they could sell.
