What Buck are you carrying today?

I stopped carrying steak sandwiches in my pockets after that!:D

I never saw the wolves that night.
It was the next morning going out. I saw their tracks had followed me in the snow.
They had followed me about a 1/2 mile.
I look over my shoulder more often now.

Most days, if I haven’t given particular thought to what knife to grab and I am wearing jeans or work pants, it will be this guy. It has a 2018 date code, so I guess I have had it going on two years. I chose the nuclear green color because I have always liked yellow Case knives and it was somewhat close to yellow. It’s a good-un...

Carried my Buck Vantage from last Tuesday (when we drove west to Georgia for Thanksgiving) until last night when we returned home. Switched to the 110 Slim-Pro for today. These two have become my EDC rotation (I also carry a pocketknife, most often a Medium Stockman such as the Buck Cadet or a Case). Funny thing is I always disliked a pocket-clip and a modern style knife - it really matters which one you choose! OH

I’m surprised how much I like these modern folders and I do use the pocket clips. I have found that the Vantage has the better clip design for my shorts (which are all Carhartt rip-stop). The Buck Anvil logo cut into the clip of the Slim-Pro will sometimes catch on the seam of my pocket when I pull it out - takes a determined effort to get it out without tearing the pocket seam. That is not good for quickly deploying the knife. I carry the Vantage when I’m not in the woods or at home (then I use the Slim-Pro). OH

Love the pocket clip on the Vantage, it is the first pocket clip on a knife that I haven't removed in my whole life and I am not a spring chicken, but the Slim Pro that clip had to go, tried it on the other side of the knife even, doesn't work for me. I wear Wrangler Riggers most everyday and they have a dedicated leather pocket clip patch, but the Slim Pro just wouldn't work. The Vantage clip slides nicely in and out of one of the utility pockets, but the Slim Pro is a great in the pocket, pocket knife.

In Southern Ohio, we always say if you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it'll change. :D

Sunday was a nice sunny day. Monday it was raining most of the day, then started snowing. Today was pretty cold. (Not terribly cold, but not used to it yet...:p)

Only good thing is we don't have to deal with hurricanes.
