Yes the handles are amazing. Whether my hands are warm or frozen, dry or wet, there is no way that knife is going to slip from my grip.I really have absolutely have no use for the 891 but I really do love the contoured handles.

I didn't put much thought into your inability to carry firearms into the brush.
I'd want that 891 myself if I were you.
I've had wolves follow me out of the woods one night in Michigan's Upper Penninsula...... And I had my hunting rifle. Which really isn't the weapon of choice if I needed it.
