What Buck are you carrying today?

112 on my belt at work today and the 500 in my pocket tonight.

Not much to tell, really. I ground off the rear bolsters and epoxied new scales. I dunked it in red dye when the fabric in the bargain-bin micarta showed white in places after sanding.
Thanks. Was not sure how rear bolsters were handled. Looks great

My brother's newest Buck, when I give it to him tomorrow. He showed me his gardening knife with a liner lock of questionable security that he bought because it was cheap. It's my mission to inform people of the quality knives that can be had for little money, like this 112 Slim.

Today ill pack one of my favorites, a copper and stag Buck 110 with flat grind S35VN.
In a USA made soft sheath horizontal carry.
What's the story with the sheath ?
I heard leather sheath production was back In the US, but even the 2021 110 I just bought my brother the shea this still Mexican.
Is it just the more premium stuff that gets a domestic sheath , or just the blister pack Walmart stuff that gets a Mexican sheath ?

My two cents: I don't know who gets an American made versus Mexican made sheath, but there is nothing wrong with Mexican leatherwork, especially as contracted by Buck (Buck does not allow shoddy work to carry their name). They are skilled craftsmen and -women; just as skilled as Americans and I am proud to carry their work. I have many fine leather products made in Mexico, from boots to bridles to sheathes and I am honored to enjoy the products of my fellow working men and women!
