What Buck are you carrying today?

Lunch in my basement office. Livin' Large.

One of the things I do while teaching the kids at church on Wednesday nights is a guess how many game. At check-in when they are getting name tags and reciting Bible verses is a jar full of buttons, legos, candy, BB’s, whatever. The three closest guesses get a prize at the end of the night. Last night was a little different. I put out three apples and had them guess the total number of seeds. After the lesson while they were in the gym for game time I cut up the apples to find the winners, and gave the slices to the youngest grade class for a snack. In case y’all are curious, the apples had 9, 3, and 4 seeds each, for a total of 16.

They are quite nice, I do see that they are coming up for sale recently so you might be able to catch one from there.

The handle is Honduran Rosewood

I love they switched back to authentic ebony for the base 110 several years ago. The Honduran rosewood really catches the light though.

I've been carrying this at least twice a week for saltwater fishing this season. There's something that feels so premium about having a natural handle material, the classic 110 design, and a modern blade steel.

We buttoned up our Missouri rice field lease today. Epically horrible season down there. Just no cold weather up north in November and December to push them down.
We hunted this morning and I pulled the trigger one time on this northern shoveler drake. These are some of the prettiest inlamd waterfowl there are. Pitty they don't eat as good as they look...lol
We spent the morning packing up about 20 dozen floaters, a mess of mechanicals, 3 jerk lines and spreaders, and other odds and ends and just finished the 8 hour drive home to Northern KY.
Had my black and orange 112 slim pro along since it tucks away nicely under the waders.
Getting up at 3am to head to some central KY private ground to punish some Canada geese and mallards from layout blinds.

The Honduran Rosewood 110 joined me today.

Glad to see Tractor Supply putting the Case Knives (and hopefully the Buck Knives too) back in stock. Our local TS has ZERO American made knives in stock now and it has been that way for awhile. Back home after several days on the road this past week, back to a regular and favorite EDC, this 1976 6318 SS. OH

I posted a photo of my local Tractor Supply Case Knives display in the Case thread and so I thought I'd show the Buck display here. They have a 110, a Spitfire, and an Iceman. At least it's something.

Wife and I took a drive to Lake Mattamuskeet and Lake Phelps yesterday to see all the waterfowl. I carried a pocketknife and this Buck Vantage. The Buck Vantage got the only big job of the day, cutting an apple in half when we stopped at a State Park to walk a trail along the edge of Lake Phelps. I’m going fishing today and the Vantage is going with me. OH
