  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Buck are you carrying today?

The Stealth Run #005 110 rode on my belt yesterday and got to dismantle its first sirloin last night. As expected, it performed admirably. Meat is very abrasive and will dull an edge quickly (way faster than carving wood). The portions of the blade that I used aren't as sharp as the section near the ricasso now, but it still slices receipt paper okay. I should probably see how long it goes before it won't cut anything, but I don't have the ability to not do a little touch-up with a ceramic rod.

No Bomber today, but my wife and I went to Life Is Sweet in Milan for lunch, Cabelas in Dundee to bum around, and Ford's Garage in Dearborn for dinner--best burgers in SEMI.
Have you ventured to Pete's Garage in Monroe? They do a good burger. Will have to try Ford's

Actually, I have tried Pete's Garage in Monroe one time after fishing on Lake Erie. You are right--the burgers there are amazing too!

They have a dangerous spicy bloody Mary. Dangerous in, it is good which makes a person want several

North Country Trail. ✨
The section of the NCT that goes through Pa is 286 miles. NY through Pa to Ohio. I walked that this past year. 🥾😁🥾
John 😎
I saw the NCT sticker on your water bottle in the other thread. My wife & I have done some trails in northern PA & most of the Appalatian trail in south & central PA, but not much out in the western part.

Our home is in the central mountains & we go for a walk in the woods every day with the dogs, so driving someplace to hike on a trail that pretty much looks like our back yard just doesn't have the appeal that it used to.

We always wanted to drive the Skyline Drive & Blue Ridge Parkway, so about 20 years ago we took the motorcycle & did it. After stopping at the third or forth scenic overlook, we looked at each other & said, "This looks just like home.", then laughed our a$$es off.

And to keep things on track, here's a pic of my newest favorite Buck on one of our daily walks.

Sticking with 'THE RACER' 110 LT (in the "correct" nylon sheath) on the rollator.
Since THE SMOKE JUMPER's clip point blade is redundent to the primary blade of my (Not a Buck So Unmentionable In This Sub-Forum) USA made 4.25 inch closed Stockman that I won in a GAW a couple weeks ago, I decided to swap my SK BLADES 'THE GENTLEMAN' 110 SFO (CPM154 Drop Point blade, German Silver liners and bolsters, black G10 covers) in to the horizontally mounted Buck nylon sheath that the 'SMOKE JUMPER' was in.View attachment 2483989
Looks like I mite "need" to buff the scratches out of the German Silver bolsters ... 🙄
