What Buck are you carrying today?

Didn't carry any one today, but, I had these, on the table, available for the daunting tasks of opening mail and packages, breaking down boxes and food prep.

I'm assuming the slip sheath is for the 110.
I like it. That's my favorite way to carry a 110.
Yours looks broke in.👍

That’s a great carrying knife, I need the green one to come back in stock.

Those bumps are so when they grind and polish the spine on the 110 and 112 they will finish flush with each other. Since there's no grinding and polishing on the slims, the bump remains.
I get the purpose for them, but it's kinda lazy to not clean them up on a knife that's not getting polished.
Good info and makes sense, thank you.

Mini Deploy blackout. Tried to keep it nice, but dropped it on rough concrete twice after 3 weeks of receiving it. Used it heavily ever since and have really liked the S35vn as a harder use steel. Really makes me want a blackout Wharncliffe in the full size deploy

Thanks, that’s not a slip sheath but a wet formed vertical belt sheath that the knife snaps into very securely. While I also make slip sheaths they are of softer leather and are meant to be dropped into the pocket, which the 110 is a bit heavy to carry in pocket.

The belt sheath is similar to this one that I made for a custom 110 from the Buck Custom shop;

Late yesterday I was in need a small sharp blade to deconstruct a dress I'm remaking into something better.
"Chook" knife (285 bantam) in hi-vis was called upon and served with distinction. :thumbsup:

Early start today, so quick brekky of Vegemite on toast with a bit of help from my 4 dot. :thumbsup:

This one today. It was a really beat down 110 I bought cheap off the bay - but the blade was good. I replaced the wood with some unknown antler I got in an "antique" store. I experimented too with some potassium permanganate to give the scales some darker color. Not sure if I like the look yet but I'm thinking it will look better when I get some tarnish on the brass.

I always have a traditional pocketknife with me, of differing brands and normally a Medium Stockman, sometimes a bit smaller or larger. However, this Buck Vantage has become my go-to heavy chore knife, it's with me nearly all the time. Once I finally warmed up to holes in blades and pocket-clips on the frame I began to appreciate the modern style pocketknife (not to the exclusion of a traditional, but as an addition). OH

Yeah, I like my traditionals, especially medium stockmans, and there's always an Alox SAK in my left front pocket. I used to consider it heresy,:) but there's something to be said for the convenience of a bigger blade, and one handed opening, modern folder.
