What Buck are you carrying today?

I always have a traditional pocketknife with me, of differing brands and normally a Medium Stockman, sometimes a bit smaller or larger. However, this Buck Vantage has become my go-to heavy chore knife, it's with me nearly all the time. Once I finally warmed up to holes in blades and pocket-clips on the frame I began to appreciate the modern style pocketknife (not to the exclusion of a traditional, but as an addition). OH

I have been doing that too for the past few years. I used to carry just a medium sized stockman and a 110. The Vantage is just so dog gone handy to use and it’s plenty sturdy for heavy duty work in intermittent use. If im doing heavy work for extended use then I use the 110 to prevent hand fatigue.

Carrying two of the three new ones I just received... I am adding others for size reference ...IMG_3507.jpeg
Top is 101, then 102, Small Max Lite 2 (new and carried today) next is 112, 113 (New and carried yesterday) Alpha Scout Select( new and carried today) And Horsewright Coyote.
The sheath on the Alpha is heavy duty, but still fits good in RF pocket of my cargo shorts. Enjoy!

We ran across this garter snake on our daily walk this morning. We were lucky I had my 112 along for protection.:)

And here's a pic an old friend that I took yesterday. It wouldn't hold still long enough to get a pic with my knife. It's a good six feet long, and has been hanging around our back yard for several years. As you can see by the dead grass, we could use some rain.
