What Buck are you carrying today?

handle size and blade length?
Handle on the 118 is bigger than the handle on the 102. The 118 handle is about the same size as the handle on the Buck 105 and 117. The 118 blade is about the same length as the blade on the 102, however it has much more upsweep (belly) for skinning - the 102 is a straight clip blade (like a much downsized 119). OH

Generally, I use the 118 for a hunting knife, but it's nice to use in the kitchen. The 102 would make more of an all purpose "EDC" for me with the right sheath. Incidently, the 102 is my first Buck knife, which I got for my 14th birthday in 1975! Doesn't look like it, but it has been used a lot.20250222_100111.jpg

Two real nice Buck Knives from a great era. OH

Weather was tolerable, so I went out and about today. Had the Paradigm Shift with me and used it to cut my steak when the server forgot to bring a knife to the table.
