That’s a dump! It’s 37 degrees in Dallas this morning and it’s going to stay below 45. Time to break out the winter duds at last.

I was unaware of these. I was going to compliment your modification of an 830, but an internet search reveals this is a Model 829 Marksman Elite. Very cool

I really like it! I have been looking for one for a few years that was not insanely priced. The marksman is my favorite modern Buck model.

I love winter and snow. Inland trout is closed now but what’s holding me up is my health. A miscalculation and a broken limb causing a fall from 20 plus feet while coming out of my treestand put me out of commission for anything fun for the next 3-4 months

I was not sure how much fishing you were able to do. That time will pass in a hurry. Sounds like good reasoning to watch the snow fall while warming your toes in front of the fireplace enjoying a fresh cup of strong, hot coffee

Home again, home again, jiggety, jig, jig. Went from 70’s in Florida visiting our son, to 30 here at home, with a couple nights at the in-laws in Tennessee along the way. The car is unpacked, the washing machine is running, and I’m sitting by the fire with a cup of tea, vaguely aware of the Christmas movie my wife and daughters are watching. It was a great Thanksgiving.

That sounds rough. Hope you heal up quickly and are back to fishing in the spring! In what parts do you seek those inland trout? I go after them in Dallas when they stock local ponds which is happening now. It’s not much but it’s all we have for trout fishing in north Texas!

It’s going to be tough. I’m a 100 mph type of guy. Always doing something so this is tough for me
