Toting my older (old script)Buck, 503, USA .. Think that dates her to 1967-72. Scales are in dark brown micarta. Shaving sharp.

A 503 with burgundy micarta scales and old script stamp would date from 1977 (introduced) to 1982 (birch scales introduced in 1983) according to the catalogs.

I'll be carrying my 110 (2005 date code) instead.

I still have an older 503 as well. I'm very pleased you still carry her! They are tough little knives to be sure.

I have this on my belt today.It's held in a nylon sheath and is quite compact for a 110.
