What did Santa bring you?

A day full of happiness and joy to my two boys... the only thing I needed for Christmas... (courtesy of Nintendo and the Wii-U)

And a gallon of WD-40. Which I said I needed, but honestly if you looked in my shop you'd think I was planning for WD-40 to be the new currency of the future post-apocalyptic world...

Merry Christmas.

etcher, stencils, and a new grinder (Esteem) to be delivered later. Mostly a 14 yr old daughter that knows she is over indulged sometimes. Tickets to the Womens National Soccer Game against Canada and George Strait tickets for his final show in June

I got a 10" drill press, the bubble jig and a heater for the shop! Cha ching!!! lol

I must have been better behaved than I thought. I got a mig welder and and edge pro apex sharpener.

An olive wood cutting board.
I love olive wood. Santa got me the board to cut up for handle blocks, but I'll keep it as is and enjoy it in the kitchen.
Did I mention I love olive wood?

After fifteen straight days 12 hour days, Judy and I built a fire in the morning, and didn't do a thing all day except go out for Chinese food in the afternoon. Thank you Santa! That was what I wanted most :)

To hear my wife tell it, the only knife related item I got for Christmas was a KSO souvenir from a friend's trip to Cairo and Istanbul.

This thing has no edge at all and is obviously intended for show only.

The best thing I got for Christmas was the look on my 9 year old grandson's face when he opened the Ruger 10/22 gun, with a special 'youth' stock, that I bought him. Priceless... Teddy

I got a few bottles of fuel in the form of Tennessee Whiskey :D Of course I rarely drink but my bother and his family always give me a few bottles every Christmas that seem to hold me over for the year. And of course I ordered myself some leather making dvd's and a few books.

A $15 angle grinder from Walmart, it's no Metabo but it helps if I don't have to change wheels between hard wheel, flap wheel, 2x wire brushes, sanding disc - you know that sort of thing.

I'm dong a 24 hour burn in test now

I got a metal cutting bandsaw, but it was delivered early, so I've had it about a month now. Its been a tough year family wise (kid with an addiction) so a low key Christmas with no crisis was exactly what I needed.

My best gift was some time away from work to spend with my wife and 3 month old son. Santa brought me a 9" Beaumont disk grinder which wasn't too bad either!

Hang in there brother. I hope things improve for you guys. Email or pm if you ever want to talk about it.

As for gifts, a happy family, 3 years sobriety and an absolutely stunning Santoku from Ian Hall (HallHandmade) for my wife.

This is a truly shameful quality photo. Ran out of daylight for decent pics.

CTS XHP steel (62hrc), stabilized Buckeye burl, stainless guard and a surprise leather cover.

The quality is no joke, and there were some insane all nighters involved in getting it to me before Christmas. I'm fairly certain the blade was still hot from grinding and ht when I got it. :D

Everything down to the color of wrapping paper (yes, it came wrapped) was custom.

The block in the pic is a 2" thick end grain from Canada to complement the knife.

@Count- what brand is the AG? I was actually at Walmart when I opened the thread and went to grab one, but couldn't find one in that price range?
