Off Thread (go figure) Alert: I saw my first Christmas TV commercial today. I guess I should start shopping.
I'm feeling guilty right now, but they say confession is good for the soul, so here it is.
I didn't cut anything with my Buck 110 yesterday. Instead, I used a Spyderco (cough!) Endura (cough!) to open some packages and then cut some nylon cable ties. And it actually worked. I'll try not to do it again, but it was clipped in my pocket . . .
Used my 55 to cut the tags off some sexy draws my wifey bought...
...Down here in the "South" we tends to call drawers "draws" ...or as the "Northern" boys say...undies or bloomers or jus' plain ol' underwear...LOL......???...What are "draws"???...![]()
Yesterday or today, what did you cut with your Buck?
Yesterday I used my Buck 110 with BG-42 blade to open a few shipping boxes, a few letters, soe food packaging, and a plastic bag with some CR123A batteries in it. I also used a Buck 112 (an older one with 425M) to open a bag of sugar free Dove chocolates.
What did you cut and with which Buck?
Dear James...No more Mayo's...Thanks Buck_110

Dear James...
Ah, why?
Ummm I cut a Go kart tire off of a piece of machinery that I maintain for work with a vanguard. I hate 2 piece rims. I beat on the thing and put it in a vise to get the bead off. Guess the smart thing would have been to go to the tire shop, but like I stated earlier, that would have been the smart thing.
It did about as well as I expected. It's still kinda hard to cut tires with a hunting knife cause of the blade thickness. But, it didnt take too long. I had my troops standin around figurin how to get the thing off, and I just grab the knife and start cuttin. Quite comical actually, had to be there. We don't always have to do the smart thing- Its not always the most fun!
How did the vanguard do? Cut it like butter?
My standard 110 again,
