Oh yeah...I did that candy bag gig too with my 298GY.

Off Thread (go figure) Alert: I saw my first Christmas TV commercial today. I guess I should start shopping.

I'm feeling guilty right now, but they say confession is good for the soul, so here it is.

I didn't cut anything with my Buck 110 yesterday. Instead, I used a Spyderco (cough!) Endura (cough!) to open some packages and then cut some nylon cable ties. And it actually worked. I'll try not to do it again, but it was clipped in my pocket . . .

Yesterday or today, what did you cut with your Buck?

Yesterday I used my Buck 110 with BG-42 blade to open a few shipping boxes, a few letters, soe food packaging, and a plastic bag with some CR123A batteries in it. I also used a Buck 112 (an older one with 425M) to open a bag of sugar free Dove chocolates.

What did you cut and with which Buck?

My standard 110 again,
A nice, big, tasty, drake mallard today.

I have decided to part with my imports. will not be using them any more :D
Just picked up another camo Crosslock and LOVE it, NEW EDC!!!!!!!!!
No more Mayo's... :D Thanks Buck_110 :D

I bravely attacked an envelope at home with my AG 110. It opened easily.

At work, my Cadet sees duty cutting open boxes. I work in an HR training office and a 110 just would not go over well. (I alos use an old Spyderco Dyad for that, too).

Dear James...
Ah, why?

Um, Just gonna buy and use the USA made knives...
I also really like the sirus/tempest/rush knives also. I like the 2 blades on the crosslock. For not too much more $$ I can have a USA made knife.
Nice avatar by the way:D

Ummm I cut a Go kart tire off of a piece of machinery that I maintain for work with a vanguard. I hate 2 piece rims. I beat on the thing and put it in a vise to get the bead off. Guess the smart thing would have been to go to the tire shop, but like I stated earlier, that would have been the smart thing.

We don't always have to do the smart thing :D- Its not always the most fun!
How did the vanguard do? Cut it like butter?

I would chime in and heckle...but I used my Rat Trap to cut open a package:o .... containing a vintage Buck counter display:D

It did about as well as I expected. It's still kinda hard to cut tires with a hunting knife cause of the blade thickness. But, it didnt take too long. I had my troops standin around figurin how to get the thing off, and I just grab the knife and start cuttin. Quite comical actually, had to be there.
