10-4. Just some light hearted updates of the everyday.

I have found that this thread helps give a perspective on the things peeps like to do. I like to cook/grill. Others open their boxes of new Buck arrivals. Some to clean out toe or belly button jam.
No big deal.

OR clean their drains, and field dress roadkill... :D

In honor of our new "friend" josh, I think I'll say that I didn't cut anything with my Buck today. Although yesterday I opened a package from Sportsman's Guide, just a couple of minutes after I sharpened it.

reacently aquired via bay permit 334 ...

Today I cut up a watermelon with Decaff Dave's Rubber scale 110.
How cool is that. Sorry I did not do thumbnails.

Very cool Hawkeye. Seeing that sheath again reminds me I need to talk to Jack about making me one.....

Today I used my Nighthawk as a makeshift can opener :D

Well, I have done that too. Not with WH4F's NightHawk...but with a 110 or a Ka-Bar.
I was, and am, surprised the tip didn't break on the 110. Don't think it'd be a prob with the Hawk though.
Now, I'd use a 882/9 drop point for such chores in a pinch.

Hi All,

Well a question for all of you Buck nuts!!!! My little lady has started using Buck bribery on me......Honey; if you do this and that and and and you can get a new buck knife.....have any of had this same experience? ...
jb4570
LOL John. Now that I think about it...I get hit with a sincere, "is there a certain Buck knife you've been wanting?" from time to time.
Never put it together, and like to think it is coincidence...but I better start paying attention to the timing of that question and what I end up doing from the Honey Do list shortly afterwards...

well i have not experanced buck bribery,,,
that would be great!
i consiter it enught if i dont hear of s30v for my dinner!
tho she did say maybe after the grand cayon a trip to the idaho rocky mountions may be nice :D :D :D

Man that sharpening job you did made it cut like hot butter.

Here's the big question:

Do you want a polished edge or a toothy edge for cutting a watermelon with your Buck 110?

Man, there is something inherently fun about cutting fruit with a sharp knife. I need to get some globe grapes so I can slice 'em open!

Thanks hawkeye... I knew the rubber bucky would be traveling to a fine home -- just gave the edge a little extra attention  :D

I'll take a smooth edge any day for routine produce ;)
