What Did You Cut with Your Buck (Yesterday or Today)?

Stopped by the bar.
Had a Bud Light.
Sat there cleaning my finger nails with my 1986 Kalinga.

BTW, Scoot...nice pics. Looks like an infomercial for some kitchen tool. :)

Lots of packages with the Buck 110 BG-42 today, including four blister packs.

I opened two packages today from that E place by the bay with my Tempest. Now I've got 3 more 110's to add to my herd :). A gold etch 110 USS Arizona, a Scrimshaw Columbus 110, and a 2 dot with engraved bolsters. It's a good day.

Ate the really red Redondo's hot dog half before I thought of taking the pic...but you can still see the dye from it in the rice.

The problem I have with just whipping out my Buck Mayo TNT to cut up some food is that I have to continuously ask myself, "OK, what was the last thing that I used this knife for?" :o When your knife is as versatile as the Buck TNT, you always have to be careful. I guess I keep remembering that field mouse I killed a few weeks ago.

Today I tore out the carpeting in our living room, to clear the way for new laminate flooring this weekend. I used 3 of my EDC rotation, to test how I REALLY liked them!
I had to cut the carpet into 2' wide strips or my garbage guy complains and leaves stickers all over ;)
Anyway I used my 154CM tempest, New Catapult, and my Ionfusion 110.
The room was 12' long. I could cut 1 strip all the way before I noticed the knife starting to dull and bite its way through the carpet with the Catapult.
The 154CM Tempest cut 2-3 strips before "feeling" dull. However with the heavy cutting and use the handle did not appear to be the most ergonomic and my hand got sore!
The Ionfusion 110 lasted 3+ cuts and I actually ran out of carpeting to cut so who knows how long it would last, also the handle seemed to be the most comfortable to me.
On the bright side :) the Catapult was the easiest to get sharp again ;)
I also must add that I dont know what kind of fibers are in the carpet but it left fine scratches in my black oxide catapult blade, almost like steel wool. Pretty abrasive stuff I guess.

Well,,,In my haste to get out of the house and to the job, I snached a gray 560 off the shelf. Only after needing a blade did I realize that I grabbed a near minty old one with the thicker frame. Only thing that keeps it from being mint is the opening marks on the tang.

So all I cut with it was some scotch tape, and then I wrapped it in a piece of paper so the mess of keys in my pocket wouldn't scratch it up.

So today the 174 cutback was back in service after I had left it in a pocket and it got a good washing.

And like Jim, I ripped out a 12.5 x 17 room of carpet a week or so back using the 179. It is impatiently waiting for me to get it sharpened back up. It did ok, but have dug out the razor blade cutter to finish the other room..

A few boxes,some string,bubble wrap.Tommorow its the 882's turn and i'll probaly cut more with it.The 883 just screams use me.LOL

I put the 110 in my pocket this evening and took it along, but I didn't use it for anything.

My friend called from his home 100 miles east of here. He wanted me to drive downtown and give his sister 100 bucks so she could get food and a room tonight. She just got out of de-tox. She was waiting at a joint that received wired money.

I drove over and found her sitting on a bench. I confirmed her identity and handed her the money. She looked bad, like she was hurting all over. She shoved the money in a pocket and took off on foot like she was going to put out a fire. :(
