What did you get this Fine X-Mas morning??

I'll third that Matt. She sounds like a wonderful woman! :)

I got some tools I asked for and various other surprises. My dad gave a fat check for which I am eternally grateful and my wife bought me a fine bottle of Lagavulin 16 year old scotch.

My wife got a gorgeous ring, a beautiful ruby flanked by two 1/4 karat diamonds from the best jeweler in Northampton. Most expensive gift I've ever bought anyone and it generated an amazing amount of brownie points.....;) For once, my extravagance paid off!

I got my new knife and lock design review from Joe Talmadge.
And I think he did a good assessmet.
Thanks again Joe.

Got two knives I count as Christmas knives. Course I picked them out myself, but thta's fine with the wife. Saves her the hassle! Both came in last Friday and I looked them both over to make sure they were what I wanted.........and they were.:D The one I kept out was a large model 2 framelock by Mike Obenauf, the one under the tree was a large Brad Duncan Whiplash. Two great knives as far as I'm concerned. Of course the resquite clothes came my way along with some MUCH NEEDED socks, drawers(boxer briefs) :) , and CASH. Why I might even buy another knife! :D :)

All this was great and I love giving presents and getting knives for Christmas, but the best thing about Christmas is the CHRIST in Christmas..........because He gave it ALL, so we could have it ALL.:)

Spyderco Millie for 15 bucks...thrift store miracle (Brand New in untouched box)...from me

Sharpmaker old 203 model from my grandma.

Mudvayne's new album The End of all Things To Come from dad

Queens of the Stone Age's new one...this has to be the best damn album I've ever heard...from dad

Dinner at the Rainforest Cafe....wow:eek: That was good...

I actually ended up using the xmas money mom gave me to buy stuff for other ppl...:)

Regards
Steve

I got mostly money. So now I guess I can order the knives I want. :D I'm thinking about the new Loveless folder I saw for about $100. Haven't decided on the others but maybe a new CRK....

I don't ask for/put knives on my Christmas list. Pretty much know what I want and it's easier for me to get them for myself anyway.

So instead of what I got, here's what I gave in the way of sharp stuff:

For my dad, a SOG Blink and a Benchmade 310 "Benchmite". (Sweet little piece btw- neato levitator lock.)

For my little brother who is stationed at Camp Hovey in Korea, a plain edge large Benchmade Griptilian w/the camo handles. For the money, you can't go wrong with this one.

Also gave a non-knife friend at the office a Leatherman Micra for his keychain.

Knives are great to get, but even better to give!

I've solved the problem of not having what you want by getting what you want at or slightly before Christmas.
I've got a Starmate and a Native SS.

I got all $$... most of which must go tword school. I'm seriously considering getting a Sebenza w/ whatever is leftover
Hopefully I'll talk myself out of it... :D

Think about it, the money you could spend on a Sebbie could buy you 2 or more good knives too!
Here I've tried talking you out of buying a Sebenza with whatever you've leftover ;) :D

I bought myself a spydie Meerkat (serrated), and a Cold Steel Recon Tanto (shoulder rig from survival sheath systems on the way :D ).
My girlfriend fell in love with my Meerkat, so I bought her one too. I knew she was a keeper when she actually got excited when I bought her a knife for our first Valentine's day, which hasn't left her pocket since (about 2 years now).
I bought my sister's very cool boyfriend a Kershaw Chive, he drives her nuts playing with it all the time, which was part of the plan. ;) I would have bought my sister a knife too, but she thinks I'm trying to spread my paranoia and obsession with weapons to her if I try to introduce her to any knife other than her lil' SAK, so I got her a juicer. I also bought my buddy Paul a Cold Steel Bushman, which he thinks is pretty nifty.

Merry Christmas to all!
My Debbie gave me a Camillus/Fisk/OVB Ironwood Bowie. Great knife Great girl.
Good Collecting !
Jocko

Jocko, I'm a little jealous. That VB is sweet. I was looking at one just the other day.

Peter, you scored. Lagavulin goes with everything! So does diamonds. I know how you feel about the most expensive gift. I felt the same way, but was glad to be able to do it for her.

Merc, don't listen to Cal, just buy the Sebenza. Just make sure you spend the extra to get a decorated, preferably unique one.

and a complete and total surprise a case cheetah knife, its the Presidents Knife, as its the same knife used by the companies president, its number 75 out of 400, has the company presidents signature engraved on the charcoal bone handle, and has his signature on the certificate of authenticity. This knife is beautiful, and will defiantly be a safe queen, though I do plan on buying a less collectable version for edc… It also came with a case license plate, hat, band-aid dispenser and cleaning cloth, but the best part of all was that it was a gift from my father. I truly appreciate this gift.

As far as Darci goes, I'm planning on a ring on the day by the end of this coming semester. So for now, new knife plans are going to be on hold until I get my act together (I'm happy with my new Seb anyway :D ). Last time, I had about 1500 saved and was shopping until my Jeep decided to stop running. This time I'm praying that it doesn't happen again!
Wish me luck, Merry Christmas!
Matt

Sounds like we all had a good Xmas. One knife under the tree for me - a Schatt & Morgan Trapper with Texas longhorn scales! I picked it out and ordered it but I held off and waited until the big day to open it! From my awesome wife I got an iPAQ handheld PC, plus skivvies, some super duper keepy you dry and warm socks for hunting. Got a acouple of DVDs from my bro. All in all a good year. Wife got jewelry - makes her as happy a blades make me.
This Christmas was super special as it was my daughter's 1st. Although she's only 10 months old seeing her playing with all her new stuff was awesome.
Hope you all continue to have a great and peaceful holiday!

2 treats from the missus:

The SERE 2000 I bought from a forumite (You know who you are. Thanks again!)

And the big one:

An Edge Pro Apex (with stone upgrade kit on the way)!

The SERE is in front of me as I type, newly razor-sharp from the Apex. Ah, Christmas!

Best wishes to one and all.
