What did you get this Fine X-Mas morning??

I really didn't count on getting any knives from friends and relatives, but my Sister tried. Imagine the look of surprise and joy on my face as I opened the box with a matching set of 4(count em)finely tuned Jaguar folders from our little buddies in China! :barf:

Three of them are liner locks, but one is missing the thumb opener. The other 2 with thumb openers don't open properly; and the last one is some kind of Swiss Army type knock off. My poor Sis doesnt know one knife from another, and probably thought she was getting me something really nice. Kind of like the Franklin Mint American Eagle lockback my Dad got me several years ago. That sucker had cheezy gray plastic handles and a fake gold painted eagle embossed on the side. The paint was flaking off the eagle in many places. :barf:

Good thing I had ordered myself a super nice custom slipjoint folder from one of the best folder makers out there in time for Christmas! Don Hanson III. :)

Clip blade is a hair under 2.5" of super tight twist, all high carbon tool steel damascus, with front and rear nickel silver bolsters around gorgeous white(and rainbow colored) pearl. The backspring is made from the same tight twist damascus. As soon as I can get a nice digital pic to come out nonfuzzy or too big, I will post a pic. Other than that, my Christmas was kind of blahh.

Some very cool stuff guys :) I got a bunch of Balisongs...(shocking...lol)

"Hunters seek what they [WANT].., Seekers hunt what they [NEED]"

I am very happy and greatful for all my gifts. Hope Ya'll are too.
Merry CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

The best things I got for Christmas were another year of health, a great job, all my material needs met, and loving family.

Of course, I also got some very cool trinkets as icing on the cake. A new Rainbow Leek from my wife, a Henckels congress patterned slipjoint from my nephew, and I'm thinking one more knife-themed item on Saturday when we celebrate with my family. Other non-knife items included a selection of "warm and fuzzy" clothing items (I'm perpetually cold), expensive bottle of Scotch, and some items from my wife that will go unmentioned, given the generally uncouth nature of this audience. :D Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and great New Year!

No knives under the tree, but the Mrs. got me a Bose Acoustic Wave:) and Quiet Comfort headset:):).

Paul

Al Mar Sere 2000 from my wife!

Did I marry well or what?

We were done opening our presents, talking, relaxing, etc. Then, an hour later, she pulled a "Columbo" on me: "oh...just one more thing...close your eyes and open your hands"...BADA-BING...a SERE 2000 drops into my hands!

The thing is awesome! Give me a break...how could anyone not want one of these knives?

Also got a tuf cloth, the book on CD "Let Freedom Ring" by Sean Hannity, "Heat" DVD, leather shoes, and more...what fun!

Sounds like my family My dad gave me a knife for my birthday three months late and it sounds just like the one you got except this one came with a pocketwatch. It was such a cheap pile of crap I threw both out and kept the wooden presentation box.First I tore out the cardboard flag and relined it and now I use it to throw my watch and bracelet in when I get home.My dad has presentation boxes with crap like this on his walls at home that my sister gave him.Thank god she doesnt speak to me.:D My wife and I are so very blessed every day is like Christmas.Happy Holidays and a great New Year........RB

- Chris Reeve Green Beret/Yarbourough
- Strider MT
- Strider BN/SS
- Cuda Maxx Stilleto

Non-knife items:

I'll be in pretty good shape for at least a little while...

:D :D :D :D

)I got a new coon hunting light, which I needed. If you aren't familiar with them, the technology on lights made for coon hunters is pretty advanced, and the good ones aren't cheap.

I only got one knife for Christmas, from my old pastor, who is a great friend and mentor. He got me a Case Red Bone Trapper. Since it is in their "Tru-Sharp" (:barf:) steel, it won't be a user, but because of my regard for the man I will treasure it forever.

I will say that it is a beautiful knife.
