What did you score at blade?

I picked up a Fiddleback Bushcrafter Jr with a sheath from Fiddleback and one from LT Knives. I also grabbed a new wallet from HellBent Holsters

Only had intentions of getting the Spider Monkey but the wife surprised me with the Matriarch and the HK. I couldnt pass up the deal on the ESEE 4 and the lime green Izula (not pictured) for the wife.

I got 2 knifes I've been wanting to try out for a long time.
1. Pat&Wes Crawford custom
2. CRK Sebenza 21 Insingo

Olight S10R Baton from Goinggear $45.00. Swapped out my defective Spyderco Ulize for a new one at the Sypyderco Booth. Thanks Erick! Bought a new Swiss Bianco Micro farmer in silver alox. Then swapped out a dead 4Sevens Mini123 that I have had for 5 years (died last week) for a brand new Mini Ml-X at the 4Sevens booth. Then bought a Blaze Orange Spyderco Roadie from the pretty gals over at the Knife Works Inc booth and had it engraved for free. (put my Fire Fighter number on the spine of the blade.) Then scored a Microtech ultratech dagger point half serrated for my boss from some great guys from Florida for $120.00 OTD.

But I would like to point out to anyone that did not make it. Their WERE NO DEALS TO BE HAD. Everyone at the show was charging full blown MSRP for stuff. Except Knife Works Inc they was 1 dollar higher on the Roadie vs cheapest place on the internet and everyone else was selling Microtechs for Full MSRP +, except the guy from FL who's name I did not catch. Going Gear was great as always. Swiss Bianco had all his stuff marked up 10-20 bucks called his helper out on it and he sold me the micro farmer for what his web store price was $65.00. He said the reason they where charging more was because he did NOT have to pay shipping?! WTF? Over all it was fun. Next year I will go and just look / hold blades and buy them cheaper online.

When I get a chance to post pics I will.
First try at adding pics. In the last pic its the micro tech on the right my boss decided on.

I went with a fat wad of cash but didn't come home with anything. I did buy a Wicked Edge, but it'll be shipped. I was dead set on getting a Grimsmo and a Tighe, but I was told I should've been there early on Fri. Everything I wanted was either already sold, stupid expensive with respect to build quality, or was some type of lottery item. To ease the pain, I did order a polished Tighe Rade when I got home although it wasn't exactly what I wanted.

I will post a pic of my haul tonight when I get a chance. I wanted to chime in to agree 100% with this. There were multiple knives I did not buy because people were charging way more for production knives than they go for online. Production knives being the primary reason I was there, no I'm not sorry. There was one booth where a buddy and I were looking at the new Kershaw Auto knives (which BladeHQ.com has IN STOCK on their site for $99.97) and the lady behind the counter was like "And that'll be only $159.99 for that one". It had been a long day, so I wasn't as in control of myself as usual so I looked up and laughed and said "Oh hell no, come on man, we're gone. We'll just order them for $100 at BladeHQ, thanks. Wow, what a rook." and she started to huff about how they were a small business and couldn't compete with the big guys. I wasn't really convinced of that however, since the booth had a ton of different limited edition, rare, or discontinued knives, all at jacked prices. I didn't give them business that day. In fact, the knives I bought, none were really at a discount. But that's ok, I had the internet to guide me on what was overpriced, and what wasn't. I'll definitely be going again next year, only this time, I'll be stopping by Fiddleback Forge, and Blind Horse Knives first. I made the severe error of waiting until I'd spent all my money on the knives I'd been looking for before I found their tables. I purposely didn't bring a credit card so I wouldn't be ringing up any new debt.

I had an AMAZING time, though. I'll post up my haul here shortly.

Nice looking Genesis from LT Wright there, Bali-Flipper32. I always hear reviews on the grip feel of that knife. Since you have one, does it live up to the hype? I wish I could have gone to the show, but I'll be headed out there next year with my boss to check out all the stuff. By the sounds of it, I better only bring cash to save myself from buying too much stuff, haha. Pretty big fan of that Damascus Delica too, lcsmith! Great, sleek look to it.

Fiddleback Forge was in fact the first tables that I visited. Next stop was Bob Dozier. Didn't by a knife at either location, but I intend to buy a Fiddleback production knife (hand made) at a future date. It was all elbows at Fiddleback's tables. I don't like elbowing my way to look at stuff.

I bought a Condor Kumunga (10" fixed blade for $40) at the Condor booth and a Spyderco Kiwi 4 from Knife works priced at their regular pricing. I like the Kiwi. I like the Condor. I have already been hacking away at vines and plants with it in my yard. I think I like it. It is a long slim 10" fixed blade and kind of unusual at least to me. I checked back to the Fiddleback Forge tables and they had sold a lot of product at that point, so I just decided to pick something up on line. Dozier had his usual line of knives along with the ones with the high polish that he is personally making now. Most of their folders that attracted me were lefties. I also checked back there later and they had sold 75% of the knives they brought to the show at that point. Next year I'll probably buy the Yukon Skinner from him.

There were few bargains although I was very satisfied with the Condor price. I didn't spend a lot of money this year. That was a good thing.

Just wanted to thank yall for telling me that there werent any deals. It killed me not to get to go. Im sure i would have still loved it but at least i dont feel like i missed a bargain

What kills me is that Andy's prices at the fiddleback booth were really low a few years ago (before he became well-known), and I failed to buy.

Here's almost everything I got at Blade. To be fair, the Spydie Valloton was gotten the weekend before Blade, at a price about $30 lower than the cheapest one I saw at the show:

Not pictured is the new Condor Golok I picked up at the Condor booth. What a great time. I'll definitely be back next year.

Got a CS Ultimate Hunter to run my rope cutting test on and got my Phil Wilson S125V Bow River.

My 3rd time going to Blade Show, so I knew there are no great deals, but it is a good place to find knives that are hard or impossible to find elsewhere. So I went with the intention of finding an Emerson Iron Dragon.

As soon as I walked in the door, I headed straight to the Emerson booth. A few seconds later, Ernie Emerson walked up. I introduced myself, and my son, and we talked for a while.

I asked him to sign the blade on my CQC-8, and he did so gladly. I then asked if he had an Iron Dragon, and he had one of the guys dig one out. I checked out the knife, and bought it on the spot. Ernie signed the blade for me on that one as well.

I was happy, you can't find one anywhere on line, and they are not even available on the Emerson website any longer. Having gotten that out of the way, I was free to wander the rest of the show and have a good time with my son.

My son (12 years old) wanted a Mini Griptilian. We found a pretty good deal at the Knifeworks booth. Mini Grip, with a free Zippo wrist watch, and free engraving.

So my son got a yellow Mini Grip, a watch, and his name/Blade Show 2015 on the blade, I got my Iron Dragon, and we had a great time visiting all the booths and checking out some cool knives and talking to some cool people.

We both walked out of the show happy.

Here's the Iron Dragon.

And my now signed CQC-8

Sorry no pics of the Mini Grip, my son is staying with his Mom, and has it with him.

Well, that would certainly make the whole show worth it for me, no matter what else happened. Mike

YUP. :D

I had a good time, mostly with the reps, knife makers, knife company people etc.
