What did you score from the Gathering? Post up pics!

That thing is a skillet with an edge. I love it. :D

It's not my usual cup of tea, but it sure is cool. I really like the balance. Maybe this weekend I'll do more cutting with it and take some pics. Ang wants me to split some wood and have a fire, anyway. I already have a couple minor mod ideas bouncin' around in my skull... (you know I can never leave anything well-enough alone :D)

Met some good folks up there at this bash and came back with some unexpected new toys
Anyhow here's my haul! A bk16, Fal'er english walnut scales nnow fitted on the 16, a bk24, hammock, funky forest tarp and a mosquito net for previously mentioned setup (not pictured)

Todd, RELAX! I assumed it was something like what you just described! Really, I actually respect how you agonize over these issues, and it only makes Christine and me more proud of owning some of you fine handiwork.

You're a good man T!
I can personally assure you that he agonizes over these things. Keeps him up, acid reflux kind of agonizing. But I'm sure post Blade Show, when 1000 new customers a month are ordering TMHunt knives..he'll relax. :D No..just kidding, he'll explode. Literally.

Works just fine for making fuzz sticks & chopping and splitting kindling.

Still haven't done any heavy work with it, but I'm really starting to like this thing :)

Well I got a BK15, a BK24, some sections of bamboo for various project ideas and a wadded up knot of paracord that I am still working on untangling. :)

Well besides the friendships and memories, I brought back two of the greatest gifts I have gotten in a looooong time. I've had a soft spot for BK5's ever since I modded Sleepybadgers. When Ethan gave me one. The wheels started turnin. Gonna do something off the hook with this one. If that wasn't enough. Erik, (1066vik) suprised me with a cool gift. Almost a year ago, I gave him some scrap cut off pieces of 01 from M-18 builds. Low and behold he gifted me a hachet he made from one of them. I love it. I've been beating the hell out of everything made of wood on my property. I'm certain the nieghbors will never come to visit again! Oh well.

I had no idea Vik made that when I looked at it. I may have been drinking. That is awesome.

I'm going to post mine before the Col sees this and blows out the thread.

Our haul wasn't bad though... Two Maguas, a BK-17 (as you can see already wearing the Fal'er scales and getting some love) and a Tackett bushcrafter.

Wowza...thos maguas are sweet! I'm not familiar with Mr Hunt's work...but looks like I will be! :D

Totally my style...been wanting something more...pointy! What's the steel and price point?

It's hard to describe what a handy little rascal they really are. They are 01 and once you carry one for a while you wonder how you made it without it. :D

How are you liking that Tackett Bushcrafter tw? That blade looks freakin' sweet.

Thanks for the complements guys.
Dubz - the Tackett BC has great contours, but the handle is very similar in size to the tweener above it.

Well here it is Trade - thinking I may have overdone it a bit...

We have a Becker hat given out by Moose, the BK-5 given by Ethan, a Yuma from TM Hunt, The Tackett challenge knife, and the BA Custom I won in the raffle. Bill Akers also mailed me a nice double sided strop to go with his knife (very cool) and some patches.

Had a great time and I hope everyone else did as well!
Wow! Nice toys you picked up Col! I want to come hang out at your house :D

Vik's right about the handle. Very similar in size to the tweeners. It is a HELL of a knife.

I've been admiring his work. Do you like flat grinds, or scandis better for a bushcrafting knife?

I normally don't care for scandi grinds, but this one is good. Really good. I'm playing around with it quite a bit lately and I'm impressed.
