What did you use your Izula for today?

cut some air dried salami (btw: my husband thought I would only be able to cut that with a motorsaw, but the Izula just cut through - not like butter, but easy enough)

I opened a pack of crackers.

I didn't need to, but I was looking for an excuse to use it :D

cut up an onion (was too lazy to turn around and go to the drawer with the kitchen knifes- why bother when I have a perfectly usable blade right in my pocket)

I cut my dinner (chicken fried steak) with mine, and now im re-profiling the edge to 30* inclusive :D

I was fortunate to have my izula on me last week when the plastic insert in the wheel well of my car which had been damaged by a hit and run in front of my house a few months ago, fell down and became wedged against the tire while I was doing about 40. It was kind of scary as the tire started smoking and I lost some control. I was able to bring the car to a safe stop and got out to investigate. There was no way for me to dislodge the 1/4" hunk of plastic wedged against the wheel, and I was already running late to work and about 3 miles from my house. I tried backing the car up and turning the wheel back and forth but this just served to lodge the piece further. Suddenly I go an idea! I pulled out my trusty izula which is seldom not in my pocket and cut through the molding close to where it was still bolted to the car in a matter of seconds (It cut through that hard plastic like butter, although it did take a lot of pressure due to the thickness of the material). I pulled the car forward a few feet and the plastic popped loose and fell onto the ground. Izula saves the day!

stripped it off it's pink coating, polished the bead-blast base finish off and cut chicken parmesian with it to give it a natural patina...

I just got attacked by some wineberry bushes that were encroaching a narrow trail in a wooded park I walk my dog in at night. I hacked those suckers back good :D

I used my Izula to cut an apple and scoop out some peanut butter today. :D

Hey, so did I. One of my favorite snacks ever.

Also cut an onion for supper, and the chicken as an experiment. Don't know if I'll do that again. The Izula did great, but I had to be so careful not to get chicken on the paracord wrap that, with the careful cleaning I had to give it afterwards, I'm not sure it's worth it. If I do it again, I might just unwrap and rewrap it. Might be quicker.

Opened a package the UPS man was kind enough to bring (not a knife, unfortunately), slit the plastic wrap off a DVD... I think that's about it.

Man, this knife has spoiled me. It's so convenient in the pocket, ready to go whenever, and so light I forget it's there.

Oh, I did learn one important thing, though. If you're carrying your Izula in your pants pocket, and it's a pair of pants that are a little loose (say, shorts that you usually wear a belt with but, for whatever reason, you're sans belt at this particular moment), DO NOT just try to push the knife back into the sheath! Take the sheath out first.

Just trust me on this.

Thank God I was in the kitchen alone ...... :o

i had to leave mine in the glove box in tulsa last thursday, due to a flight to los angelas. took a small 2 blade oldtimer with me, because i knew i couldn't handle 4 days without a knife. (i still felt fairly naked... whiskey helped.) as soon as i got back into the car yesterday, the izula went right back into my pocket.

I use mine daily for most kitchen tasks. Last night I chopped carrots and peeled taters with it. It also gets used for opening the mail, sharpening pencils, and digging the black stuff from between my toes.
