What did you use your Izula for today?

Showing my son the difference between a mish metal rod and a LMF starting some wet pine straw and tore up the edge on the rear but got her going

oh, good, had you done it by hand, I'd be very frustrated ...
I can do it the old fashioned way, but I guess the Lansky has spoiled me over the years since I started using it. It just makes it so easy, and virtually elimates the need for skill or practice. Kinda sad in a way.

True ... well I can do it the old fashioned way but it doesn't look as clean as the Lansky (at least not before stropping it)

Izula was charged with kitchen duty during lunch today. That tomato, onion and pepper jack cheese never knew what hit 'em.

Also decided to undo the paracord thumb loop I rigged on the sheath for putting the knife back in the sheath one handed. Didn't feel all that comfortable.

She did taste blood today. Opened up a fledgling for the cat - the cat normally being perfectly equipped for that task himself, but he was a bit under the weather and didn't want to eat. The inside of the fledgling must have smelled very tempting ...

The cat is fine again ...

Took mine outdoors yesterday, did a bunch of batoning and shaving along with a BRKT Glen Eagle. Very impressive, but the coating is beginning to wear away, so it doesn't look as nice as it used to.

I'm thinking fledgling probably has other meanings :) or did you cut open a young bird for your cat?
fledgling definition ?
One of my cats tried to bring a dove into the house last night that it had just killed :( I didn't need to use my Izula on it, the bird was already dead.

I didn't kill it. And I actually buy chicken fledglings for the cats.
As I said, cat was under the weather and didn't eat properly, and when nothing goes, chicks do ... and if even chicks won't do, cut chicks will ...

When he is fine, he brings doves, too - and he eats them.

I know its not an Izula but I used my RC4 today to cut the tiedowns off of my HMMWV to get it off of a trailer, used it to clean under my finger nails and then to open a box I got from home. Best knife I have ever owned.

Cut up an apple.

I know I know, but I just got the thing yesterday.

I'll use it more this next weekend!

I found that the izula is the perfect knife for those nice fine cuts when making leather products. I used my izula to cut all the pieces for a nice pouch. It slices through full grain like butter, self healing cutting mats too...mu table hates it.

Broke down some cardboard, opened a couple clam packs, and made a couple fuzz sticks just for fun

The last thing I used my Izula for, was to cut up a cardboard box to cover the back seat of my car with, to load up and "relocate" this little varmint from my garage.

Made bows and arrows for my son and his friend.

They spent 5 hours looking for sticks that were flexible enough.

Sucks living in the desert sometimes!
