I use a Lansky with the regular (not diamond impregnated) stones.
I can do it the old fashioned way, but I guess the Lansky has spoiled me over the years since I started using it. It just makes it so easy, and virtually elimates the need for skill or practice. Kinda sad in a way.oh, good, had you done it by hand, I'd be very frustrated ...

She did taste blood today. Opened up a fledgling for the cat - the cat normally being perfectly equipped for that task himself, but he was a bit under the weather and didn't want to eat. The inside of the fledgling must have smelled very tempting ...
