What do forumites think about non-metallic knives?

Kaisersosa,
JSP Bladerigger has titanium pencils and titanium pda stylus. These are really awesome. The pencil has a wicked point on it! Maddog Operators are the top ceramic knife out their. I have used my for cutting alot of dulling materials such as carpet and they stay sharp! Try that with steel! Mdenterprise.com has some coming in soon for leo. Also checkout the frequent flyer series. These are really great selfdefense tools. The large one is just like their pygmy atak and comes with a great sheath. The smaller one is like the operator and comes with 2 sheaths. One standard and a checkbook. Shannon Lew is a great guy to do business with as is James Piorek at JSP. Ceramics are not a felony yet in Kalifonia. Good luck and stay safe! Happy Holidays to all:D

Personally I don't see a problem with them. Fact is there are MANY weapons that are not made of metal.

Just for fun, next time you are sitting in an airport terminal, glace around the room and look for items that can be used as weapons. Within a couple minutes, with any imagination you'll have a long list.

I think they perform no practical purpose, only to hurt someone :( .

Many, many people think that about all knives. So what if the blade isn't metal? Originally knives were made of wood, stone or bone. Metal is just very practical for a blade at this point in time.

Hey Rev jch, what about those ceramic kitchen knives I mentioned earlier?
They're very practical and were not designed to hurt people.

Allen.

What does pratical purpose have to do with anything. Knives like firearms are weapons. There other uses are icing on the cake.Have a good one. :)
