What do i have ? Looking for axe knowledge . . .

I am trying to put a name on that diamond axe. I have a couple ideas but am not sure. Don't remove that label!
That axe is in great condition!

I'm pretty sure the Diamond axe is chinese. Have seen quite a few over here with that design. Usually they have 'china' stamped on the face, but not always. I may still have one in the shed - wil post a pic if I can find it. Awesome finds JBLdom.

I will try to get a better picture of the hewing hatchet stamp....also i will not remove the label! I was trying to figure it out..

The top one is most likely Rogers Mfg. of New Hartford Conn. A rare stamping of an uncommon axe company. Pexto was a brand of Peck, Stow, and Wilcox. A large tool manufacturer that made many hand tools. They may have contracted out some manufacturing with their label but they also made tools.

Yes, China. Why would that be in there is anyone's guess.

The Hewing hatchet is a Atha stamp. First I have seen on a hatchet or axe. Made a lot of black smith tools. Bought out by Stanley. Which would explain the hatchet. Maybe thats where the Stanley striking tools were made?

J.M Warren Axe i cleaned up. Hand made leather sheath i made accented by a deer antler for a closure . Stitched with sinew

jesus christ, man--- you have some really prized axes that will fetch a high dollar if they are restored well. that norlund tomahawk is a favorite for collectors, and that killing axe (or butchers axe... the one with the octagonal hammer thing on the poll) is a nifty somewhat oddity that can go for a bit. if nobody has mentioned this yet, http://www.yesteryearstools.com/Yesteryears Tools/Home.html is a good resource for trying to guess dates on your axe, and pretty much most of the brands on there are what collectors are looking for, save barco and a few other new production axes the website also covers.

pretty damn jealous of your find! ill buy the whole lot of em for 50 bucks ;)
