Before I leave my house, no matter were Im going be it the mailbox or town, I carry a Leatherman Blast on my right side belt, a Kershaw Vapor or Kershaw Storm II clipped to my left front pocket, and Hankercheif in my back pocket, a lighter of some sort in my right front pocket and a small Mini mag flash light and Swiss army knife around my neck on a chain, tucked under my shirt. With that everyday carry, I feel pretty secure if something happens to me. So what do you guys carry for EDC?

vic explorer and a bic. thats about it other then the ol cell phone and wallet

Right front pocket: Keys, and the other half of my keyring consists of a Pico pen, peanut lighter, capsule with aspirin and a tinderquick tab, tick tweezers, SAK Rambler, BSA hotspark, Photon Freedom. There's also a large regular Sebenza in there

Left front: Burts bees chapstick, bic or mini bic, 20mg famotodine(heartburn med) cell phone

rear right: wallet
rear left: bandana, Surefire E2B
If I'm wearing cargo pants the right pocket will have my PSK and the left will have the AMK pocket medic. I always wear a watch and a Wilderness Ti belt that most days has my Busse Game Warden on the right side and SAK multi on the left.

not including my bag which I take to everywhere I drive or take the subway to, it a leatherman wave, a bic lighter, 20 ft of '550, a bic lighter and a mini mag light

pics ok?:D
This is majority, but its mostly in my maxpedition lunada. The rc6 is only for woods and car kit carry, when I leave the car I have the rest which goes in the lunada

I have a pretty good sized selection of "every day carrying knives" that I rotate from time to time. Right at this particular time I've been carrying a Golden Colorado, USA made Spyderco Native model, SE, 440V. To accompany it I've been also carrying a very dependable Hawkbill blade also made by Spyderco. I carry a plain edged Tasman Salt, yellow handled, H-1 blade steel. I'm finding that Hawkbills are truly a great blade for all kinds of unusual cutting jobs.

Before that I had been carrying a Spyderco C-52 Calypso Jr, PE, ZDP-189. Along with my all time favorite Spyderco knife ever which is the C-44 big Dyad model which is a full sized, double bladed model with one clip point PE blade and one sheepsfoot SE blade.

I usually rotate my every day carry blades. I might be carrying another blade even next week if I feel that I'm about to encounter some different cutting chores. But I do urge all of you to take a serious look at Spyderco's Hawkbill blades. They truly are a unique and versatile cutting tool. JD

I work in a city, in an office and drive 30 miles each way. My car is equipped with a full kit that stays in the trunk.

I have a 100 foot walk from the garage to my building.

On my person:
Skeletool
AG Russell pocket carver (my new EDC)
E2D Surefire
ASP keychain light
SAK Classic
Spare cash
In the right setting I'll carry a drop wallet as well
cell phone
iPod :) (I only use this at my desk)

I know my EDC stuff is not Wilderness related per se, but I am not in the wilderness on a daily basis.

This was my Holiday's EDC :D

For my more common minimal EDC, I always have:

Marathon GSAR Watch
Oakley Half-Jackets
Hat (Fleece watch cap, Filson Packer or ball cap)
At least one folding knife (lately it's been either an Emerson or Spyderco)
Burt's Bees chapstick (always!)
Swiss Spirit multitool (or the SAK Farmer)
Space pen
Either a Windmill butane lighter or the little peanut
Fenix P1D LED, or if just pocket carry, it'll be the little AAA LOD
Off duty, I'll have a pistol
Crackberry

My EDC items include:

  • Parker Rollerball (Ellipse, 100, Sonnet, or Duofold)
  • CRK Umfaan (left front pocket)
  • SAK (one of many... right front pocket)
  • Photon Microlight II (keychain)
  • Briefcase (Tumi or Hartmann)
    • Leatherman SuperTool (inside briefcase)
  • Lenovo T61p (inside a Booq backpack)
This kit flies under the radar in the boardroom, and still leaves me protected in almost any situation I might encounter. If I'm heading outdoors for any length of time the Leatherman goes on my belt, and I'll add a more robust folder (Spydie or Benchmade) as well. If I'm hiking, camping, canoeing, fishing, or hunting, I'll add a fixed blade to the mix.

I usually only carry a SAK farmer (I am a suburbanite - so I am never more than a mile from a dwelling on the way to work) - but I have a vehicle survival kit that has what Cody Lundin's suggests.

Hey Rock - What is that on your keychain just to the left and above the prybar?

The "search" button is your friend. There have been several threads on the topic discussed here, before.

How right you are. It would have been nice of you to provide a link other threads for the OP review if it bothers you that much.

Not flaming, just an observation. ;)

It's the Sliver Gripper tweezers...a must have for me. They get used a lot for splinters, ticks and cactus thorns. Very svelte and they disappear on your key chain. When out backpacking/hiking, I have another set on a lanyard with some other equipment. It's a good piece of kit I highly recommend...

ah.. I had looked a pair last night on line somewhere. It's funny that I didn't recognize them. Thanks!

I have two lock'n'lock containers like these. They go in my backpack that I bring with me to work (backholds holds laptop and camera and lunch).

As it is winter, I also have the Adv.Kits Emergency Bivvy and an extra heat sheets space blanket in there. Finally I keep a bottle pot (stainless cup that fits a 1L nalgene bottle) in the pack, LED maglight and a pair of work gloves. The two containers are easy enough to transfer into a day bag or other bag should I decide to take it.

Those are awesome little containers kdg...I have a few of the smaller ones and would like to try a couple of the larger ones to organize a few items in the pack.
