Usually I have a small pack with me that has, Bark River PSK in leather sheath,SAK Farmer, small compass, pens,Bic lighter,Skunklights solar powered torch(flashlight)it's tiny but very useful, Fenix PD20 an essential and serious mini torch, paracetomol, indigestion pills, half litre of water, spare pair of contact lenses(I'm very short sighted and if my glasses broke I'd be immobilized).Small fixed blade e.g. Bark river Pro Scalpel II or Buck Gen 5 or similar. This is a small pack but there is room too for lunchbox, survival blanket,a metal/khaki one that packs up small but is very useful.Binoculars and other odds when needed. Inside the pack in a 'secret'part of the lining a small denomination banknote is sewn in 10 or 20 Euro just for absolute emergencies.I like to keep a small banknote hidden in the shoe or inside of trousers as well, you never know...

This is what`s in mine.

Hi all,
I would like to say, I like these threads EVEN if these threads come up every couple of weeks. The reason is that we are getting or making new items that we are starting to or going to carry. I for one like to see what others are putting into there kits, That they think will make there lives better or easyer in a survival sitution that may come up. If you do not like these threads do not open them. The search fuction is great for reading the past. But I like to see and read what the future holds. Now that I am done ranting:D
I will get on with I carry. Where eveyone lives and there lifes experenices will be the factor in what they carry. It does not make it right or wrong. It is just the way it is, we as individuals have our own thoughts on what we think should be carried. I live on a farm and in a rural area. Knives are as common here as movie stars are in hollywood. In this pic is what I have in my pockets every day do matter what. From the top left to right. I carry abut 14' of tan 550 cord then a peace of cloth not a full hanky, small tin of salve. this is all in my left front pocket. then the right front pocket small SAK classic and a spy capsule. In the capsule I have a firesteel rod that I took the handle off of ( Scout model ) I also carry a couple of cotton balls and PJ mix in it. From the bottom left to right. In my left back pocket is my wallet, in my right back pocket is a knife sharpener and my comb.

On my Belt on the left side is my keys on a carobiner, then my hatchet, then my multi tool in a sheath I made that holds it and a flash light. Here is the pic

On my right side I carry my T H Bushcrafter and the Handy Little Knife with a sharpener and a matchsafe all on a sheath I made. right behind that is a little pouch that I carry some more survival goodies in. here is this pic.

I have a pouch on that back side of my sheath that holds the HLK. that I spoke of. In this pic you can see it all sheath wise.

If some one does not beat me to it in a couple of weeks I plan to see if any one has any new gear that they are carring. The reason being is I am going to be carrying a knew knife and trying it out in the woods here in my area.
I have made some for others and have come to like the blade lenght, but I have not made one for me yet. Tune in to see it when it is done.

Cool Thread,
Bryan

On an every day I dont carry much, since I work 400 meters from home.
Leatherman Fuse, Fenix P2Dq5, Fallkniven U2 and MRE matches.

If I am going anywhere else I bring a whole load of stuff. I have a small bag that contains about everything I might need. I just add a Fallkniven H1, a coffee pot and a steel mug.

While all my vehicles have kits from small to large, the only stuff I generally carry on my person when going to town to run errands are things like a little Beretta Jetfire (.25) in a Mika pocket holster. As my threat level is low, it's the firearm I always have on me. While I own larger caliber firearms and agree with the wisdom of larger calibers I'm also aware of the small likelihood of ever having to use one for self defense where I live and travel. I'd rather have nine rounds for sure than nothing. My views are based on having carried for a living as a LEO in California once upon a time.

I also have a SAK Classic and larger folder (these days its a Grip).

I don't carry "survival" gear aside from those things on my errands but anytime I'm away from town, walking in the hills, etc. I at least have my belt kit which has the usual PSK gear.

I carry this stuff everyday/everywhere.

If I'm doing even a small hike, I add this back pocket kit.

Most times, something like this gets added as well.

jeff-- that is a cool looking barkie.. i like it.. what model is it..:)

i don't have any updated pics of what i carry... here's a list..

-EDC- benchmade mini-griptillian and/or scibber modded SAK farmer..
-wallet..
-watch w/ suunto compass on strap..
-mini-bic lighter..
-cell phone..
-keys with hotspark, SAK classic, photon, p38, and a pill fob filled with PJ soaked cotton balls, some fishing line and hooks...

BSA hotspark, photon light, lighter, chapstick, wallet, cell phone, Ritter PSK, Becker necker. I ALWAYS have these on me. In car I have a bigger kit with extras of this stuff and a cup, stove, and blanket. I have a first aid kit in car too and yet another Ritter PSK and FAK in my coat pocket since I might be somewhere away from my coat. My coworkers think I'm crazy, yet guess who they come to when they need something?

this is my EDC gear minus the pocket medic and my PSK, I have misplaced both, so I'll be frantically searching for them the rest of the day

When I put my pants on in the morning, this gear gets added to my belt and pockets. Not shown is a large silk bandana, wallet and keys. The match safe is compass topped and contains a few pieces of Spark-lite tinder and a sewing/food gathering kit. When I leave the house, I add/subtract gear, depending on my agenda for the day.

Bryan, it is a compass pouch. I got it at the local scout store, where I get the Hotspark.

Same

I am an office worker, and my car with a backpack of gear is usually a few floors below thoguh technically probably below water level compared to the river it sits next to

So
Gerber mini LST - uesfull but small enough to sit in a suit slacks and also not attract undue attention
Phone - Nokia navigator (nice but fragile)
Credit card (personal and work if needed)
Some Cash
lamy BC10 ??? fountain pen - the anti bling pen

My car keys have swiss key tool (looks like a large key) and photon microlite II. So they are generally also with me on the weekend

My briefcase also has 2 bandages, asprin (heart attacks) and fire stick (can't take lighters on planes)
In my office I have a delica 4 FRN, bandages, bic, asprin panadol, compass, etc in a kit, facial dam (for giving mouth to mouth) and some of those birthday candles that relight after being blown out

My gear is designed to be useful without raising concerns - and to help provide first aid and support if needed.

I always have my wallet in my left front, Case swayback in my right front, BM 530 in back right, and my keys on an S-biner on my belt loop. The keychain has a houdini rescue tool and a victorinox emblem led light.

Most of my gear is in my Malaga gearslinger, which goes with me everywhere. It has a couple of ferro rods, a vic. Spirit, and abundance of paracord, pjc's, a few cotton handkerchiefs, guyot standard and stainless cup, first aid, cutting board and CS k-4 necker, RC-3, Opinel no.8, lighter, sharpening supplies, jiggler key set (it's actually come in handy a few times), mil-tac pen, space blanket, and a few other odds and ends.

I carry:
Knife: Ritter Grip, Lone Wolf D2, or a Leatherman XTi (I'd carry the leatherman daily w/ another folder if I could find the right sheath) and sometimes a Krein TK1 w/ mini-teklok
Light: Nitecore D10 and a small keychain light
Watch: Ironman watch
Phone: iPhone
Wallet: All-ett w/ regular stuff and some bandaids
Lighter: Stainless mini-Peanut lighter (keychain)
Other: Chapstick, keychain tweezers
